What Timecamp Expenses and Admin (BYOK) is for

Timecamp Expenses and Admin (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Timecamp Expenses and Admin data through the Timecamp Expenses and Admin API with a key you supply (TimeCamp API token). Read-only: 6 tools (list_expense_categories, list_expenses, list_custom_field_templates, get_project_time_summary, get_groups_tree, get_logged_time_in_week). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.timecamp.com. What it does

• list_expense_categories: List expense categories with colour, unit name, unit price and dates. Needs a token with the expense scope.
• list_expenses: List expenses with category, task, amount, billable flag, invoice id and date made, plus the total amount of the whole result. Paged by limit and page.
• list_custom_field_templates: List custom field templates with name, resource type, field type, required flag and default value.
• get_project_time_summary: Total time tracked on a project task and its subtasks, with first and last entry date (seconds).
• get_groups_tree: Show the user group tree visible to you with user counts per group and in its subgroups.
• get_logged_time_in_week: Seconds logged on each day of the week that contains the given day, for the key's user.

BYOK key

You bring your own Timecamp Expenses and Admin TimeCamp API token (https://app.timecamp.com/app#/settings/users/me). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.timecamp.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
