What TimeCamp (BYOK) is for

TimeCamp (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own TimeCamp data through the TimeCamp API with a key you supply (TimeCamp API token). Read-only: 7 tools (get_me, list_time_entries, list_projects_and_tasks, list_users, get_running_timers, list_groups, list_tag_lists). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.timecamp.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TimeCamp. TimeCamp and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which TimeCamp user am I connected as?"
  • "What time did I track in TimeCamp last week?"
  • "Which active projects exist in TimeCamp?"
  • "Who has a TimeCamp login in our account?"
  • "Who has a TimeCamp timer running right now?"
  • "What groups exist in TimeCamp?"

What it does

  • get_me: Show the TimeCamp user the token belongs to: id, email, display name, registration time, root group and a few permission flags.
  • list_time_entries: List time entries between two dates with user, project/task name, date, start and end time, duration in seconds, billable flag and description. Both date_from and date_to are required.
  • list_projects_and_tasks: List projects and tasks (TimeCamp stores both as tasks in a tree) as an object keyed by task id, with name, parent, archived flag, billable flag, budget, assigned users and dates. Filter by status.
  • list_users: List the users of the account with email, display name, group, login count and last login time. Optionally only active users.
  • get_running_timers: Show timers that are currently running in the account with user id, task id, name and start time.
  • list_groups: List the account's user groups with id, name and parent group id.
  • list_tag_lists: List tag lists (and optionally their tags) used to label time entries. Filter by project task or archived state.

BYOK key

You bring your own TimeCamp TimeCamp API token (https://app.timecamp.com/app#/settings/users/me). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.timecamp.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the TimeCamp API (app.timecamp.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developer.timecamp.com/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TimeCamp. TimeCamp and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your TimeCamp account.
