What Toggl Track Reports (BYOK) is for

Toggl Track Reports (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Toggl Track Reports data through the Toggl Track Reports API with a key you supply (API token). Read-only: 7 tools (summary_user_projects, project_summary, project_trends, list_report_clients, search_report_projects, list_project_statuses, search_report_tasks). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.track.toggl.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "How many hours were tracked per project in September in Toggl?"
  • "Give me the Toggl summary of project 987654 for September"
  • "How did project time in Toggl compare with the previous month?"
  • "Which clients can I filter Toggl reports by?"
  • "Search Toggl projects named Website"
  • "Which Toggl projects are over their time estimate?"

What it does

  • summary_user_projects: Tracked and billable seconds per user and project for a date range. Reports API; reports on some workspace features need a paid plan.
  • project_summary: Totals for one project over a date range: seconds, tracked days, billable amount and cost in cents, plus rates. Reports API; reports on some workspace features need a paid plan.
  • project_trends: Per-project tracked seconds for a period compared with a previous period (Insights, premium workspaces).
  • list_report_clients: List client IDs and names of a workspace as the Reports API sees them, optionally filtered by name; page with start.
  • search_report_projects: List a workspace's projects for report filtering: name, client, color, currency and billable and active flags.
  • list_project_statuses: Per-project estimated, tracked and billable seconds and billable amount for a workspace (active projects by default).
  • search_report_tasks: List a workspace's tasks with project, estimate, tracked time and active flag (tasks are a paid Toggl feature).

BYOK key

You bring your own Toggl Track Reports API token (https://track.toggl.com/profile). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.track.toggl.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
