What Tolgee (BYOK) is for

Tolgee (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Tolgee data through the Tolgee API with a key you supply (Tolgee personal access token or project API key). Read-only: 11 tools (list_projects, get_project, list_languages, get_project_stats, list_translations, search_keys, list_namespaces, list_labels, list_tasks, get_daily_activity, list_organizations). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.tolgee.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tolgee. Tolgee and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Tolgee projects do I have access to?"
  • "What are the settings of Tolgee project 1?"
  • "Which languages does Tolgee project 1 translate into?"
  • "How complete are the translations in Tolgee project 1?"
  • "Which keys in Tolgee project 1 are still untranslated in German?"
  • "Find the Tolgee key whose text mentions 'checkout'"

What it does

  • list_projects: List the Tolgee projects the key can access, with name, slug, base language and permissions. Needs a personal access token.
  • get_project: Get one Tolgee project: name, slug, description, base language and whether namespaces, branching and QA checks are on.
  • list_languages: List the languages of a Tolgee project with tag, name and which one is the base language.
  • get_project_stats: Get translation progress of a Tolgee project: key and word counts, translated and reviewed percentages, and per-language statistics.
  • list_translations: List the keys of a Tolgee project with their translations per language, optionally searching text or finding keys that lack a translation in one language.
  • search_keys: Search the translation keys of a Tolgee project by key name or text, returning the matching key, namespace and a translation in the chosen language.
  • list_namespaces: List the translation namespaces used in a Tolgee project.
  • list_labels: List the translation labels defined in a Tolgee project.
  • list_tasks: List translation and review tasks of a Tolgee project with state, type, language, due date and progress.
  • get_daily_activity: Get the number of change events per day in a Tolgee project, as a map from date to count.
  • list_organizations: List the Tolgee organizations the key's user belongs to, with slug and role. Needs a personal access token.

BYOK key

You bring your own Tolgee Tolgee personal access token or project API key (https://app.tolgee.io/account/apiKeys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.tolgee.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Tolgee API (app.tolgee.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.tolgee.io/api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tolgee. Tolgee and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Tolgee account.
