What Trello (BYOK) is for

Trello (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Trello data through the Trello API with a key you supply (Trello API key). Read-only: 9 tools (get_me, list_my_boards, get_board, list_board_lists, list_list_cards, list_board_cards, get_card, list_card_comments, list_my_workspaces). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.trello.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Trello account is my token connected to?"
  • "What Trello boards do I have?"
  • "Show me the details of this Trello board."
  • "What columns does my Trello product roadmap board have?"
  • "Which cards are in this Trello list?"
  • "Which open cards are on my Trello product roadmap board?"

What it does

  • get_me: Show the Trello member the key and token belong to: username, full name, profile URL, initials and member type.
  • list_my_boards: List the Trello boards the member belongs to with name, description, closed flag, workspace id, last activity and URL.
  • get_board: Get one Trello board: name, description, closed flag, workspace id, last activity and URL.
  • list_board_lists: List the lists (columns) of a Trello board in board order with name, closed flag and position. List IDs are used by list_list_cards.
  • list_list_cards: List the cards in one Trello list with name, description, due date, labels, members and URL.
  • list_board_cards: List the cards on a Trello board filtered by state (open by default), with name, description, due date, list, labels and members.
  • get_card: Get one Trello card: name, description, due date, list, labels, members and URL.
  • list_card_comments: List the comments on a Trello card, newest first, 50 per page, with date and author id.
  • list_my_workspaces: List the Trello workspaces (organizations) the member belongs to with name, display name, URL and board ids.

BYOK key

You bring your own Trello Trello API key (https://trello.com/apps/admin). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.trello.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
