What Tulip (BYOK) is for
Tulip (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Tulip data through the Tulip API with a key you supply (Tulip API token key (API key)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_stations, list_station_groups, list_interfaces, list_roles, list_user_groups, list_app_groups, list_machine_types, list_tables). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.tulip.co. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tulip. Tulip and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Tulip stations do we have and which station group is each in?"
- "How are our Tulip stations grouped?"
- "Which devices are registered as Tulip interfaces and where are they assigned?"
- "What user roles exist in our Tulip instance?"
- "Which Tulip user groups exist and how many users are in each?"
- "Which apps are in each Tulip app group and which are published?"
What it does
list_stations: List Tulip stations with name, description, app execution state, station group, time zone and last-modified time.list_station_groups: List Tulip station groups with name, description, parent group and last-modified time.list_interfaces: List Tulip interfaces (computer or mobile devices running Tulip Player) with name, type, assigned station and last-modified time.list_roles: List Tulip user roles (built-in and custom) with name, description and custom flag.list_user_groups: List Tulip user groups with name, description and the number of assigned users (no member names).list_app_groups: List Tulip app groups (folders) and the apps they contain, with app name, type and published flag.list_machine_types: List Tulip machine types with the machines (id and name) defined for each type.list_tables: List Tulip Tables with label, description, created and updated time and column definitions (no records).
BYOK key
You bring your own Tulip Tulip API token key (API key) (https://support.tulip.co/docs/set-up-a-tulip-api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.tulip.co over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Live from the Tulip API (*.tulip.co) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://support.tulip.co/apidocs/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tulip. Tulip and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Tulip account.
