What Twilio Content (BYOK) is for
Twilio Content (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Twilio Content data through the Twilio Content API with a key you supply (Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible)). Read-only: 5 tools (list_content_templates, get_content_template, list_content_with_approvals, get_content_approval_status, list_legacy_content). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to content.twilio.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Twilio Content. Twilio Content and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Twilio content templates do I have?"
- "Show the content of my order_update template."
- "Which of my templates are approved for WhatsApp?"
- "Was my order_update template approved?"
- "Which legacy Twilio templates exist?"
What it does
list_content_templates: List Content Templates with name, language, variables and the message types they define (text, media, buttons, cards ...).get_content_template: Get one Content Template: name, language, variables and its message content per type.list_content_with_approvals: List Content Templates together with their approval requests (for example WhatsApp approval status).get_content_approval_status: Get the approval status of one Content Template, including the WhatsApp category, rejection reason and status.list_legacy_content: List legacy templates (older Messaging templates) with their legacy template name and body.
BYOK key
You bring your own Twilio Content Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible) (https://www.twilio.com/docs/iam/api-keys/keys-in-console). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to content.twilio.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
