What Twilio Proxy (BYOK) is for
Twilio Proxy (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Twilio Proxy data through the Twilio Proxy API with a key you supply (Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_services, get_service, list_sessions, get_session, list_participants, list_phone_numbers, get_phone_number). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to proxy.twilio.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Twilio Proxy. Twilio Proxy and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Twilio Proxy services do I have?"
- "How is Proxy service KS... configured?"
- "Which Proxy sessions are in progress for service KS...?"
- "Is Proxy session KC... still open?"
- "Which proxy numbers are used in Proxy session KC...?"
- "Which numbers are in the Proxy number pool of service KS...?"
What it does
list_services: List Proxy Services with unique name, default session lifetime, number selection behavior and geo match level.get_service: Get one Proxy Service: callback URL, default session lifetime in seconds, number selection behavior and geo match level.list_sessions: List the sessions of a Proxy Service with status (open, in-progress, closed...), mode, lifetime and last interaction time.get_session: Get one Proxy session: status, mode, lifetime, close reason and start, end and expiry times.list_participants: List the participants of one Proxy session with the Twilio proxy number each uses. Participants' real phone numbers and names are not returned.list_phone_numbers: List the Twilio numbers in a Proxy Service's number pool with country, capabilities, reserved flag and how many sessions use each.get_phone_number: Get one number from a Proxy Service's pool: capabilities, reserved flag and in-use count.
BYOK key
You bring your own Twilio Proxy Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible) (https://www.twilio.com/docs/iam/api-keys/keys-in-console). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to proxy.twilio.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
