What Twilio Verify (BYOK) is for

Twilio Verify (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Twilio Verify data through the Twilio Verify API with a key you supply (Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible)). Read-only: 9 tools (list_services, get_service, list_rate_limits, list_rate_limit_buckets, list_service_webhooks, list_messaging_configurations, list_templates, list_verification_attempts, get_attempts_summary). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to verify.twilio.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Twilio Verify. Twilio Verify and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Twilio Verify services do I have?"
  • "How long are the codes of my Verify service?"
  • "Which rate limits does my Verify service have?"
  • "How strict is the user_ip rate limit?"
  • "Which webhooks fire for my Verify service?"
  • "Which countries use a custom messaging service for Verify?"

What it does

  • list_services: List the Verify services of the account with code length, lookup and PSD2 settings and the default template.
  • get_service: Get one Verify service: friendly name, code length, lookup, PSD2, landline skipping, custom code and warning settings.
  • list_rate_limits: List the custom rate limits of a Verify service by unique name and description.
  • list_rate_limit_buckets: List the buckets of one rate limit: the maximum number of requests per interval in seconds.
  • list_service_webhooks: List the webhooks of a Verify service with subscribed event types, status and target URL.
  • list_messaging_configurations: List per-country Messaging Service overrides of a Verify service.
  • list_templates: List the Verify message templates available to the account with their channels.
  • list_verification_attempts: List verification attempts with channel, conversion status and time. Phone numbers and prices are not returned.
  • get_attempts_summary: Get totals for verification attempts in a period: attempts, converted, unconverted and the conversion rate in percent.

BYOK key

You bring your own Twilio Verify Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible) (https://www.twilio.com/docs/iam/api-keys/keys-in-console). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to verify.twilio.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Twilio Verify API (verify.twilio.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.twilio.com/docs/verify/api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
