What Twilio Voice (BYOK) is for
Twilio Voice (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Twilio Voice data through the Twilio Voice API with a key you supply (Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible)). Read-only: 10 tools (list_byoc_trunks, get_byoc_trunk, list_connection_policies, list_connection_policy_targets, list_dialing_permissions_countries, get_dialing_permissions_country, list_high_risk_special_prefixes, get_dialing_permissions_settings, list_ip_records, list_source_ip_mappings). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to voice.twilio.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Twilio Voice. Twilio Voice and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which BYOC trunks do I have in Twilio Voice?"
- "How is BYOC trunk CR... configured?"
- "Which Twilio connection policies exist?"
- "Which carrier targets does connection policy NY... use?"
- "Which countries is my Twilio account allowed to call?"
- "Can my Twilio account call Germany?"
What it does
list_byoc_trunks: List Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC) trunks with webhook URLs, connection policy and CNAM lookup flag.get_byoc_trunk: Get one BYOC trunk: voice and status callback URLs, connection policy and source domain.list_connection_policies: List connection policies (ordered sets of carrier SIP targets used by BYOC trunks).list_connection_policy_targets: List the SIP targets of one connection policy with priority, weight and enabled flag.list_dialing_permissions_countries: List countries with whether the account may dial low-risk, high-risk special-service and toll-fraud numbers there. Filter by country, continent or flag.get_dialing_permissions_country: Get the dialing permissions for one country: low-risk, high-risk special-service and toll-fraud switches.list_high_risk_special_prefixes: List the high-risk special-service number prefixes of one country.get_dialing_permissions_settings: Show whether subaccounts inherit the main account's dialing permissions.list_ip_records: List IP address records (allowed source addresses for BYOC trunks) with CIDR length and name.list_source_ip_mappings: List mappings from IP records to SIP domains.
BYOK key
You bring your own Twilio Voice Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible) (https://www.twilio.com/docs/iam/api-keys/keys-in-console). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to voice.twilio.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
