What Twilio (BYOK) is for
Twilio (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Twilio data through the Twilio API with a key you supply (Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted read-only API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible)). Read-only: 6 tools (get_account, list_accounts, list_phone_numbers, list_calls, list_messages, list_usage_records). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.twilio.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Twilio. Twilio and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Is my Twilio account active and is it a trial account?"
- "What Twilio subaccounts do I have?"
- "Which phone numbers do I have in Twilio?"
- "Which calls did my Twilio number receive this week?"
- "What texts did my Twilio number receive today?"
- "How much did I spend on Twilio SMS this month?"
What it does
get_account: Show one Twilio account: friendly name, status (active, suspended, closed), type (Trial or Full), dates and owner account. Does not return the Auth Token.list_accounts: List the account and its subaccounts with friendly name, status and type. Needs the main Auth Token or a Main API key (Standard and Restricted keys cannot read Accounts).list_phone_numbers: List the phone numbers owned by the account with number, friendly name, capabilities (voice, sms, mms, fax), origin and webhook URLs.list_calls: List call logs with from, to, status, direction, start and end time, duration and price, newest first. Filter by number, status or start date. Only reads; never places a call.list_messages: List SMS and MMS message logs with from, to, body, status, direction, sent time, segments, price and error code, newest first. Only reads; never sends a message.list_usage_records: List usage and spend per category (calls, sms, phone numbers ...) for a period, with usage, count and price. Without dates it returns all-time totals.
BYOK key
You bring your own Twilio Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted read-only API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible) (https://www.twilio.com/docs/iam/api-keys/keys-in-console). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.twilio.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
