What Twist (BYOK) is for

Twist (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Twist data through the Twist API with a key you supply (Twist test token (from the OAuth page of your integration in the Twist App Console; has the full access of your user)). Read-only: 12 tools (get_current_user, list_workspaces, list_channels, list_threads, get_thread, list_comments, list_conversations, list_conversation_messages, get_inbox, search_workspace, list_groups, list_unread_threads). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.twist.com. What it does

  • get_current_user: Show the Twist user the token belongs to: id, name, short name, email, timezone, default workspace and bot flag. The token itself is never returned.
  • list_workspaces: List the workspaces (teams) the user belongs to with default channel, creator, creation time and plan.
  • list_channels: List the channels of a workspace with name, description, privacy, archived flag and member ids.
  • list_threads: List threads in a channel, newest activity first by default, with title, snippet, comment count, pinned and archived flags.
  • get_thread: Get one thread by id with title, content, creator, participants, comment count and timestamps.
  • list_comments: List the comments of a thread with content, author id and post time, newest first by default.
  • list_conversations: List the key's user's direct and group conversations in a workspace with participants, last-message snippet and last activity time.
  • list_conversation_messages: List the messages of one conversation with content, author id and post time, newest first by default.
  • get_inbox: List the threads in the user's inbox for a workspace, active by default.
  • search_workspace: Full-text search of threads and conversations in a workspace; returns matching items with snippets and a cursor when there are more.
  • list_groups: List the user groups of a workspace with member ids.
  • list_unread_threads: List the unread threads of the user in a workspace, with channel, thread and whether you were mentioned directly.

BYOK key

You bring your own Twist Twist test token (from the OAuth page of your integration in the Twist App Console; has the full access of your user) (https://twist.com/app_console). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.twist.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
