What Typefully (BYOK) is for

Typefully (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Typefully data through the Typefully API with a key you supply (Typefully API key). Read-only: 7 tools (get_me, list_social_sets, get_social_set, list_drafts, get_draft, get_queue, list_tags). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.typefully.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Typefully account does my key belong to?"
  • "Which Typefully accounts can I post to?"
  • "Show the platforms connected to Typefully social set 67890"
  • "Which posts do I have scheduled in Typefully?"
  • "Show the text of Typefully draft 12345"
  • "What is in my Typefully queue next week?"

What it does

  • get_me: Show the Typefully user the key belongs to: ID, name and the label of the API key.
  • list_social_sets: List the social sets (account groups, each with its connected X, LinkedIn, Threads or Bluesky profiles) you can access, including team ones.
  • get_social_set: Get one social set with every connected platform (X, LinkedIn, Mastodon, Threads, Bluesky) and its profile details. The documentation does not list the fields, so the answer is passed through (capped).
  • list_drafts: List the drafts of a social set, newest edited first, filtered by status (draft, scheduled, planned, published, publishing, error), with preview text, dates and published URLs.
  • get_draft: Get one draft with its status, dates, tags and the text of every post per platform.
  • get_queue: Show the posting queue between two dates (at most 62 days): each slot and the scheduled or planned draft occupying it.
  • list_tags: List the tags of a social set, ordered by slug.

BYOK key

You bring your own Typefully Typefully API key (https://typefully.com/docs/api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.typefully.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
