What Ubicloud (BYOK) is for

Ubicloud (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Ubicloud data through the Ubicloud API with a key you supply (personal access token). Read-only: 10 tools (get_project, list_vms, get_vm, list_postgres_databases, list_firewalls, list_private_subnets, list_load_balancers, list_kubernetes_clusters, list_machine_images, list_audit_log). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.ubicloud.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Ubicloud. Ubicloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What is the name of Ubicloud project pjkkmx0f2vke4h36nk9cm8v8q0?"
  • "Which Ubicloud VMs are running in my project?"
  • "Show the details of Ubicloud VM web-1 in eu-central-h1"
  • "Which PostgreSQL databases do I have on Ubicloud and what version are they?"
  • "What firewall rules are set in my Ubicloud project?"
  • "Which private subnets exist in my Ubicloud project and what VMs are in them?"

What it does

  • get_project: Get a project's id and name.
  • list_vms: List all VMs in a project with state, location, size, storage, boot image and IP addresses. Pages of 10 by default.
  • get_vm: Get one VM by location and name or id, including private addresses, subnet, GPU and attached firewalls.
  • list_postgres_databases: List managed PostgreSQL databases with state, location, version, VM size, storage, HA type, replica flag and tags. Optionally filter by tags.
  • list_firewalls: List firewalls with description, location and their rules (CIDR, port range, protocol).
  • list_private_subnets: List private subnets with state, location, IPv4 and IPv6 ranges, attached network interfaces and firewalls.
  • list_load_balancers: List load balancers with hostname, algorithm, ports, health check settings and certificate flag.
  • list_kubernetes_clusters: List Kubernetes clusters with version, display state, control plane node count, node size and node pools. The kubeconfig is not returned.
  • list_machine_images: List custom machine images with location, architecture, latest version and creation time.
  • list_audit_log: Search the project audit log: when, which action, which account id and which object ids. Returns up to 1000 entries per call and a pagination_key for the next page.

BYOK key

You bring your own Ubicloud personal access token (https://console.ubicloud.com/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.ubicloud.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Ubicloud API (api.ubicloud.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.ubicloud.com/docs/api-reference. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Ubicloud. Ubicloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Ubicloud account.
