What Ubidots (BYOK) is for
Ubidots (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Ubidots data through the Ubidots API with a key you supply (Ubidots account token). Read-only: 12 tools (list_devices, get_device, get_device_last_values, list_variables, list_device_variables, get_variable, get_data_series, get_data_statistics, list_dashboards, list_device_groups, list_events, get_event_logs). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to industrial.api.ubidots.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Ubidots. Ubidots and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which of my Ubidots devices are active and when did they last report?"
- "Show the Ubidots device ~my-device"
- "What are the latest readings of Ubidots device ~my-device?"
- "Which Ubidots variables report temperature?"
- "Which variables does Ubidots device ~my-device have?"
- "Show Ubidots variable 5dfa39ee1a9ca53020c69391"
What it does
list_devices: List Ubidots devices with label, name, active flag, last activity, tags and number of variables.get_device: Get one device by id or ~label with its properties, tags, last activity and number of variables.get_device_last_values: Get the latest value, timestamp and context of every variable of a device in one call.list_variables: List variables across all devices with label, type, unit, device and last value.list_device_variables: List the variables of one device with label, type, unit, last value and last activity.get_variable: Get one variable by id with its type, unit, device, last value and properties.get_data_series: Get time-series values of one variable between two times, as timestamp and value rows. Give a variable id, or a ~label together with its device.get_data_statistics: Compute statistics (count, mean, min, max, first, last, sum, std, percentiles) of one variable between two times.list_dashboards: List dashboards with label, name, default time frame, widget count and active flag.list_device_groups: List device groups with label, name and number of devices.list_events: List alert events (rules) with label, name, active flag and last triggered time.get_event_logs: List the log of one event: when it ran, what action it took and whether it succeeded.
BYOK key
You bring your own Ubidots Ubidots account token (https://industrial.ubidots.com/accounts/signin/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to industrial.api.ubidots.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
