What Unit (BYOK) is for

Unit (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Unit data through the Unit API with a key you supply (live API token (needs the accounts, transactions, payments and statements read scopes)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_accounts, get_account, list_account_end_of_day_balances, list_transactions, get_transaction, list_ach_payments, list_received_payments, list_statements). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.unit.co. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Unit. Unit and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What are the balances of my Unit accounts?"
  • "What is the available balance on Unit account 10001?"
  • "Show the end-of-day balances of Unit account 30317 for last month"
  • "What transactions hit my Unit accounts this week?"
  • "Show Unit transaction 337 of account 10001"
  • "Which Unit ACH payments are still pending?"

What it does

  • list_accounts: List deposit accounts with name, status, product, currency and balance, held and available amounts in cents; account and routing numbers are left out.
  • get_account: Get one deposit account by id: status, product, currency, balance, held and available amounts in cents; account numbers are left out.
  • list_account_end_of_day_balances: List end-of-day balances (balance, available, hold in cents) of an account or customer's accounts by date; give accountId or customerId.
  • list_transactions: List transactions with direction, amount and running balance in cents, summary and description; filter by account, customer, time, amount or text.
  • get_transaction: Get one transaction by account id and transaction id: direction, amount, running balance, summary and description.
  • list_ach_payments: List originated ACH payments with direction, amount in cents, status and description; counterparty account numbers are left out.
  • list_received_payments: List received ACH payments with status, direction, amount in cents, sender company, trace number and completion date.
  • list_statements: List monthly account statements (period only; the PDF or HTML must be fetched elsewhere).

BYOK key

You bring your own Unit live API token (needs the accounts, transactions, payments and statements read scopes) (https://unit.co/docs/api/using-the-api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.unit.co over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Unit API (api.unit.co) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://unit.co/docs/api/using-the-api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Unit. Unit and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Unit account.
