What Victoria Metrics Cloud (BYOK) is for

Victoria Metrics Cloud (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Victoria Metrics Cloud data through the Victoria Metrics Cloud API with a key you supply (VictoriaMetrics Cloud API key). Read-only: 6 tools (list_deployments, get_deployment, list_rule_files, list_tiers, list_regions, list_cloud_providers). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.victoriametrics.cloud. What it does

  • list_deployments: List the account's VictoriaMetrics Cloud deployments (metrics, logs, traces) with type, tier, version, cloud provider, region, status and creation time.
  • get_deployment: Get one deployment: status, tier, version, retention, deduplication, storage size, maintenance window, price per period and access endpoint.
  • list_rule_files: List the names of the alerting and recording rule files of a metrics deployment.
  • list_tiers: List the deployment tiers that can be chosen, with type, cloud provider, hourly compute cost, access token limits and ingestion or read limits.
  • list_regions: List the regions where VictoriaMetrics Cloud deployments can be created, with cloud provider.
  • list_cloud_providers: List the cloud providers available for VictoriaMetrics Cloud deployments with their IDs and URLs.

BYOK key

You bring your own Victoria Metrics Cloud VictoriaMetrics Cloud API key (https://docs.victoriametrics.com/victoriametrics-cloud/api/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.victoriametrics.cloud over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

Endpoints were checked against the vendor's official Go client library, because the Swagger reference is hosted on the API console. Access token secrets are deliberately not exposed.
