What Visual Crossing (BYOK) is for
Visual Crossing (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Visual Crossing data through the Visual Crossing API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 6 tools (get_daily_forecast, get_current_conditions, get_hourly_today, get_weather_alerts, get_weather_for_dates, get_recent_history). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to weather.visualcrossing.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Visual Crossing. Visual Crossing and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "What is the 15-day forecast for London?"
- "What are the current conditions in Chicago?"
- "What is the hourly forecast for today in Seattle?"
- "Are there any weather alerts for Miami right now?"
- "What was the weather in Paris from 2026-01-01 to 2026-01-07?"
- "What was the weather like in Denver over the last 30 days?"
What it does
get_daily_forecast: Get the daily forecast for the next 15 days at a place: high, low and mean temperature, feels-like, humidity, precipitation amount and chance, snow, wind, cloud cover, UV index, conditions, description, sunrise and sunset.get_current_conditions: Get the current conditions at a place (temperature, feels-like, humidity, wind, pressure, visibility, conditions) without the day-by-day forecast.get_hourly_today: Get hour-by-hour weather for today at a place: temperature, humidity, dew point, wind, pressure, cloud cover and conditions per hour.get_weather_alerts: Get active weather alerts and warnings for a place (returned only when the request covers the current date).get_weather_for_dates: Get daily or hourly weather for a date range at a place, in the past (observed history) or the next 15 days (forecast).get_recent_history: Get daily observed weather for yesterday or for the last 30 days at a place.
BYOK key
You bring your own Visual Crossing API key (https://www.visualcrossing.com/account). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to weather.visualcrossing.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Live from the Visual Crossing API (weather.visualcrossing.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.visualcrossing.com/resources/documentation/weather-api/timeline-weather-api/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Visual Crossing. Visual Crossing and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Visual Crossing account.
