What Vizion (BYOK) is for

Vizion (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Vizion data through the Vizion API with a key you supply (Vizion API key). Read-only: 8 tools (list_references, get_reference, list_reference_updates, list_reference_events, list_carriers, list_transit_offerings, list_tags, get_port_performance). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to prod.vizionapi.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Vizion. Vizion and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which containers am I tracking with Maersk?"
  • "Show the status of reference 5f3b8f2a"
  • "What milestones has container OOLU6467392 passed and when does it arrive?"
  • "Has the ETA of reference 5f3b8f2a changed?"
  • "Which carriers does Vizion support?"
  • "Which sailings go from Shanghai to Los Angeles in the next two weeks?"

What it does

  • list_references: List active container tracking references (newest first) with container, bill of lading, carrier, status and tags. Filter by container, bill of lading, booking number, carrier or last update status.
  • get_reference: Get one tracking reference with container, bill of lading, carrier, active state, last update status and tags.
  • list_reference_updates: List tracking updates of a reference, newest first: each has a status and a payload with origin and destination ports and the milestones (events with dates) of the container journey.
  • list_reference_events: List the lifecycle event log of a reference (created, update received, extraction failed, ETA or ETD changed, deactivated), paged with a cursor.
  • list_carriers: List the ocean carriers supported by Vizion with name, carrier code and SCAC.
  • list_transit_offerings: List scheduled sailings between two ports (UN/LOCODE) within a date window, with carrier, transit time in days and legs.
  • list_tags: List the tags you use to group tracking references.
  • get_port_performance: Get a port or region performance metric (import dwell, export dwell, berth time, arrival to berth, TEU volumes, average delay) for a date range. May require a plan that includes performance data.

BYOK key

You bring your own Vizion Vizion API key (https://docs.vizionapi.com/reference/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to prod.vizionapi.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Vizion API (prod.vizionapi.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.vizionapi.com/reference/introduction. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Vizion. Vizion and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Vizion account.
