What Hosted Weblate (BYOK) is for

Hosted Weblate (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Hosted Weblate data through the Hosted Weblate API with a key you supply (Weblate API token). Read-only: 12 tools (list_projects, get_project, get_project_statistics, list_project_languages, list_project_components, get_component, get_component_statistics, list_component_translations, get_translation, list_project_changes, search_units, list_languages). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to hosted.weblate.org. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Hosted Weblate. Hosted Weblate and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which localization projects can I see on Hosted Weblate?"
  • "Show the details of the Weblate project hello"
  • "How much of the Weblate project hello is translated?"
  • "Which languages of the Weblate project hello are least translated?"
  • "What components does the Weblate project hello have?"
  • "Show the settings of component android in Weblate project hello"

What it does

  • list_projects: List the translation projects the token can see on Hosted Weblate with their website links.
  • get_project: Get one project's name, website and the links to its components, changes and reports.
  • get_project_statistics: Get translation progress totals for a project: strings, words, translated, fuzzy, failing checks and approved shares.
  • list_project_languages: List per-language translation progress for a project (strings, words and percentages per language).
  • list_project_components: List the components (translatable files or repositories) of one project with VCS, branch, file format and license.
  • get_component: Get one component's repository branch, file mask, file format, license and source language.
  • get_component_statistics: List translation progress for every language of one component, with strings, words, failing checks and approvals.
  • list_component_translations: List a component's translations (one per language) with string counts, percentages and last change time.
  • get_translation: Get one translation (a component in one language): totals, translated and fuzzy strings, failing checks and last change.
  • list_project_changes: List recent changes in a project (translation edits, completions, suggestions), optionally after a time or by action id.
  • search_units: Search translation strings with Weblate search syntax, returning source and target text, state and approval flags.
  • list_languages: List the languages known to Weblate with code, name, writing direction and number of speakers.

BYOK key

You bring your own Hosted Weblate Weblate API token (https://hosted.weblate.org/accounts/profile/#api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to hosted.weblate.org over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Hosted Weblate API (hosted.weblate.org) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.weblate.org/en/latest/api.html. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Hosted Weblate. Hosted Weblate and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Hosted Weblate account.
