What Wise (BYOK) is for

Wise (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Wise data through the Wise API with a key you supply (Wise personal API token (created in a Wise business account; some endpoints may need extra approval by region)). Read-only: 9 tools (get_current_user, list_profiles, list_balances, get_balance, list_transfers, list_activities, get_exchange_rate, get_rate_history, list_currencies). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.wise.com.   • "Which Wise user is my API token for?"
  • "What Wise profiles do I have?"
  • "How much money do I hold in each currency on Wise?"
  • "What is my Wise EUR balance?"
  • "What Wise transfers did I make last month?"
  • "What recent activity is on my Wise account?"

What it does

  • get_current_user: Show the Wise user the token belongs to: id, name, email and active flag.
  • list_profiles: List the Wise profiles (personal and business) of the token's user with type, name, state and country. Profile IDs are needed by the balance, transfer and activity tools.
  • list_balances: List the currency balances of one profile: available, reserved and total amounts per currency. Amounts are objects with value and currency.
  • get_balance: Get one balance of a profile with available, reserved, cash and total worth amounts.
  • list_transfers: List transfers (money sent) of a profile with status, reference, source and target amounts, rate and creation time. Filters by status, currencies and creation date.
  • list_activities: List the activity feed of a profile (payments, conversions, card spending, fees) with title, amounts, status and time. Up to 100 per page; pass the returned cursor for more.
  • get_exchange_rate: Get the current Wise mid-market exchange rate for a currency pair, or the rate at one past time.
  • get_rate_history: Get a currency pair's exchange rate history between two dates, grouped by day, hour or minute.
  • list_currencies: List the currencies Wise supports for transfers with code, name and symbol.

BYOK key

You bring your own Wise Wise personal API token (created in a Wise business account; some endpoints may need extra approval by region) (https://docs.wise.com/guides/developer/auth-and-security/personal-api-token). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.wise.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
