What Workiz (BYOK) is for

Workiz (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Workiz data through the Workiz API with a key you supply (Workiz API token). Read-only: 7 tools (list_jobs, get_job, list_leads, get_lead, list_team, get_team_member, list_time_off). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.workiz.com. Workiz and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Workiz jobs are open this week?"
  • "Show me Workiz job ABC123"
  • "Which new Workiz leads came in from Google?"
  • "Show me Workiz lead DEF456"
  • "Who is on my Workiz team?"
  • "What are the skills of Workiz user 35512?"

What it does

  • list_jobs: List jobs, most recently scheduled first, with status, client contact, address, price and team. Without start_date only the last 14 days are returned.
  • get_job: Get one job by UUID with schedule, status, price, amount due, client contact and address, notes, tags and assigned team.
  • list_leads: List leads, most recently scheduled first, with status, source, client contact, address and notes.
  • get_lead: Get one lead by UUID with status, source, client contact, address, notes and assigned team.
  • list_team: List the active team members: id, name, role, whether they are a field technician, email, skills and service areas.
  • get_team_member: Get one team member by user id: name, role, field-technician flag, email, skills and service areas.
  • list_time_off: List upcoming time off with start, end and who it belongs to (the entire business or a user).

BYOK key

You bring your own Workiz Workiz API token (https://developer.workiz.com/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.workiz.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
