What Workyard (BYOK) is for

Workyard (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Workyard data through the Workyard API with a key you supply (Workyard API token (Integrations, API Token, admins only)). Read-only: 12 tools (list_organizations, get_organization, list_time_cards, list_projects, list_customers, list_employees, list_tasks, list_geofences, list_tags, list_cost_codes, list_overtime_rules, list_forms). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.workyard.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Workyard organizations can I see?"
  • "What are the settings of my Workyard organization?"
  • "What time cards were submitted last week in Workyard?"
  • "Which projects are set up in Workyard?"
  • "Which customers are in Workyard?"
  • "Who works in my Workyard organization?"

What it does

  • list_organizations: List the Workyard organizations the token can access with name, time zone, country and subscription status.
  • get_organization: Get one organization with time zone, rounding and time-tracking settings.
  • list_time_cards: List time cards with worker id, start and end (Unix seconds), type, status, break list and regular, overtime and double time totals (pay data and GPS are left out).
  • list_projects: List projects with identifier, name, customer id, geofence ids and archived flag.
  • list_customers: List customers with id and name.
  • list_employees: List workers with id, display name, title and role (contact details and pay rates are left out).
  • list_tasks: List tasks with title, status, start and due time, checklist count and labels.
  • list_geofences: List geofenced work sites with name, address label, radius, type and enabled flag (coordinates are left out).
  • list_tags: List task labels with colour.
  • list_cost_codes: List the cost codes available to one project with name, code and group.
  • list_overtime_rules: List the overtime rules with name, state and description.
  • list_forms: List the smart forms with title, status and submission count.

BYOK key

You bring your own Workyard Workyard API token (Integrations, API Token, admins only) (https://developers.workyard.com/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.workyard.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
