What Writer (BYOK) is for
Writer (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Writer data through the Writer API with a key you supply (Writer API key). Read-only: 9 tools (list_models, list_files, get_file, list_graphs, get_graph, list_applications, list_application_graphs, list_application_jobs, get_job). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.writer.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Writer. Writer and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Writer Palmyra models can I use?"
- "Which files have I uploaded to Writer and have they finished processing?"
- "What is the status of Writer file file_123?"
- "What knowledge graphs do I have in Writer and how many files are in each?"
- "How many files in Writer graph graph_123 failed to process?"
- "Which Writer no-code agents are deployed?"
What it does
list_models: List the Palmyra models the key can use, with their ids and names.list_files: List files uploaded to Writer with processing status and the knowledge graphs they belong to; supports cursor paging.get_file: Get one uploaded file's name, processing status, creation time and graph ids.list_graphs: List knowledge graphs with type (manual, connector or web), description and file processing counts; supports cursor paging.get_graph: Get one knowledge graph's type, description and file processing counts.list_applications: List no-code agents (applications) with status (deployed or draft), inputs and deployment times; supports cursor paging.list_application_graphs: List the knowledge graph ids attached to one no-code agent.list_application_jobs: List asynchronous jobs created for one no-code agent with status and timing; page with offset and limit.get_job: Get the status and timing of one asynchronous application job.
BYOK key
You bring your own Writer Writer API key (https://dev.writer.com/api-reference/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.writer.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Writer. Writer and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
