What Zenskar (BYOK) is for

Zenskar (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Zenskar data through the Zenskar API with a key you supply (Zenskar API key). Read-only: 10 tools (list_customers, list_invoices, list_payments, list_credit_notes, list_contracts, list_plans, list_ledger_accounts, list_accounting_periods, get_balance_sheet, get_income_statement). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.zenskar.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which customers do I bill in Zenskar?"
  • "Which Zenskar invoices have an amount due?"
  • "Which payments did Zenskar record this month?"
  • "Which credit notes were issued in Zenskar?"
  • "Which Zenskar contracts are active?"
  • "What plans exist in Zenskar?"

What it does

  • list_customers: List billing customers with name, external id, auto-charge flag and creation time. Email, phone and addresses are not returned.
  • list_invoices: List invoices with number, status, totals, amount due, due date and the customer and contract they belong to.
  • list_payments: List payments with type, amount, refunded amount, currency, status, payment method and timestamp. Customer emails are not returned.
  • list_credit_notes: List credit notes with number, status, amount, currency, repayment method and linked invoice and customer.
  • list_contracts: List customer contracts with name, status, currency, start and end dates, plan and customer.
  • list_plans: List pricing plans with name, description, status (draft or active) and schedule duration.
  • list_ledger_accounts: List ledger accounts of the revenue ledger with category (assets, liabilities, equity, income, expenses), balance normality and parent flag.
  • list_accounting_periods: List closed accounting periods with start, end, status and closing time.
  • get_balance_sheet: Get the balance sheet from the revenue ledger for a date range and cadence, optionally grouped. The answer is returned as the API sends it.
  • get_income_statement: Get the income statement from the revenue ledger for a date range and cadence, optionally grouped. The answer is returned as the API sends it.

BYOK key

You bring your own Zenskar Zenskar API key (https://zenskar.com/docs/20260301/api-guides/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.zenskar.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
