What Zype (BYOK) is for

Zype (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Zype data through the Zype API with a key you supply (Zype read API key). Read-only: 9 tools (list_videos, get_video, list_playlists, get_playlist, list_playlist_videos, list_categories, list_live_events, list_zobject_types, list_zobjects). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.zype.com. What it does

  • list_videos: List videos in your Zype library with title, description, status, publish date, access flags (subscription, purchase, rental) and view count. Filter by keyword, active state, live events or categories.
  • get_video: Get one Zype video by id with title, description, status, publish date, keywords and access flags.
  • list_playlists: List playlists with title, type, item count, parent playlist, priority and dates. Filter by keyword, title or a video they contain.
  • get_playlist: Get one Zype playlist by id with title, type, item count, parent and dates.
  • list_playlist_videos: List the videos inside one playlist, in the playlist's order, with title, status, publish date and access flags.
  • list_categories: List the categories (such as genre or language) that videos and playlists can be tagged with, including their allowed values.
  • list_live_events: List live events with title, type (linear or on-demand), on-air and off-air times and access flags. Encoder credentials are not returned.
  • list_zobject_types: List the custom object types (such as cast, season or episode) defined in the account with how many objects each has.
  • list_zobjects: List the custom objects of one type (for example all cast members) with title, description, linked video and playlist ids and picture count.

BYOK key

You bring your own Zype Zype read API key (https://admin.zype.com/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.zype.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
