What Chile UTM and UTA Indicators is for

Chile UTM and UTA Indicators serves the monthly reference units that Chilean taxes, fines and legal thresholds are written in. get_utm and get_uta return the Unidad Tributaria Mensual and Anual of a month of 2026 exactly as printed in the SII table, utm_to_clp and clp_to_utm convert between UTM and pesos at that month's value (the exact product or quotient is shown next to the rounded one), get_ipc gives the consumer price index and its monthly, year-to-date and 12-month changes, and list_utm_table prints the whole year with the months not yet published marked. Months that the SII has not published, and every year other than 2026, are refused instead of estimated. This version carries no live values: the UF, the maximum conventional rate (TMC) and the dollar come from the CMF API, which needs a free key and whose documentation could not be read here, so list_indicators states plainly that they are not covered.   • get_utm: UTM (Unidad Tributaria Mensual) in pesos for a month of 2026, as published by the SII.
  • get_uta: UTA (Unidad Tributaria Anual) in pesos for a month of 2026, as printed in the SII table.
  • utm_to_clp: Convert an amount in UTM to Chilean pesos at the UTM of a month.
  • clp_to_utm: Convert an amount in Chilean pesos to UTM at the UTM of a month.
  • get_ipc: Consumer price index (IPC) for a month of 2026 with its monthly, year-to-date and 12-month changes, as printed in the SII table.

Conventions

  • Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
  • Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
  • Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.
