About

Conjuga is a fully local Portuguese and Spanish verb-conjugation engine — no upstream calls, nothing stored. conjugate gives a verb's full six-person conjugation across present, preterite, imperfect, future, conditional and present subjunctive; regular -ar/-er/-ir verbs are conjugated by real rule (including the standard c/g/z spelling-preservation changes), and 14 common irregular verbs per language (ser, estar, ter/tener, ir, fazer/hacer, poder, querer, dizer/decir, haver/haber, vir/venir, dar, saber, ver, pôr/poner) come from a hand-verified table. verb_info says whether a verb is regular or irregular and gives its meaning if it's a widely-known basic verb. identify_conjugated_form works backward from an already-conjugated word to the verb/tense/person it could be, surfacing genuine ambiguity (Portuguese "foi" is both "was" and "went"). tense_list explains when to use each tense; irregular_verbs_list filters the irregular table by pattern; compare_languages puts a Portuguese/Spanish verb pair side by side; conjugation_pattern_explainer spells out the ending rule itself; pronoun_reference covers regional pronoun usage (tu vs. você; vosotros vs. ustedes); common_verb_list is a ~70-verb study list per language; verb_glossary defines the grammar terms used throughout.

What Conjuga is for

"How do you conjugate 'falar' in the preterite" and "is 'hacer' regular" are questions worth answering with real grammar, not a guess — Conjuga runs an actual rule-based conjugation engine for Portuguese and Spanish, plus a hand-verified table for the common verbs that break the rules.

What it does

conjugate returns the full six-person conjugation of any Portuguese or Spanish verb for one tense/mood — present, preterite, imperfect, future, conditional, or present subjunctive. Regular -ar/-er/-ir verbs are conjugated by real grammatical rule: an ending is attached to the verb's stem (or, for the future and conditional, to the full infinitive), including the standard Iberian-Romance spelling-preservation changes so that ficar → fiquei (not ficei), chegar → cheguei, buscar → busqué, and conhecer/conocer → conheço/conozco all come out right. Fourteen common irregular verbs per language — ser, estar, ter/tener, ir, fazer/hacer, poder, querer, dizer/decir, haver/haber, vir/venir, dar, saber, ver, pôr/poner — come from a hand-verified lookup table instead, since they need to be memorized rather than derived.

verb_info says whether a verb is regular or irregular, its conjugation class, and its meaning if it's a widely-known basic verb in the curated list — no guessing at meanings for words outside it. identify_conjugated_form runs the process in reverse: given an already-conjugated word, it checks the irregular table and strips known regular endings (reversing the spelling-preservation rule where needed) to work out which verb/tense/person it could be — and because Portuguese and Spanish verb forms are sometimes genuinely ambiguous (Portuguese foi is both "was" and "went"; an -amos/-amos nós/nosotros form is often identical between the present and the preterite), it can return more than one plausible match. tense_list explains when to reach for each supported tense; irregular_verbs_list filters the irregular table by a shared pattern (stem-changing, first-person-only, irregular preterite, irregular future stem, highly irregular). compare_languages puts a Portuguese/Spanish verb pair side by side, deriving the other half of a pair like ter/tener automatically from a curated list. conjugation_pattern_explainer spells out the actual ending rule for a class + tense, so the answer teaches the pattern rather than just supplying one form. pronoun_reference covers each language's subject pronouns with regional usage notes (Brazilian Portuguese's everyday você vs. the regionally-limited tu; Spanish vosotros being Spain-only, replaced by ustedes everywhere else). common_verb_list is a curated study list of about 70 everyday verbs per language, filterable by category. verb_glossary defines the grammar terms used throughout.

What it is not

Conjuga's regular-conjugation engine covers the standard -ar/-er/-ir pattern plus the common c/g/z spelling-preservation rules — it does not attempt Spanish stem-changing verbs (pedir, dormir, pensar, and similar e→ie/o→ue/e→i verbs) or Portuguese vowel-raising verbs (pedir, sentir, and similar) beyond the 14 curated irregular verbs; verb_info flags when a verb falls outside the curated list so you're not handed a confidently-wrong form. It does not cover the imperative mood, the gerund/present participle, past participles, or compound tenses, and it has no opinion on regional voseo (Argentina, Uruguay, parts of Central America) or European vs. Brazilian pronunciation — it conjugates the written form.

Tools

Conjugate

conjugate — Full six-person conjugation of a Portuguese or Spanish verb for one tense/mood. Regular -ar/-er/-ir verbs are conjugated by rule (with the standard spelling-preservation adjustments); 14 common irregular verbs per language come from a hand-verified table. Use for "conjugate falar in the preterite", "how do you say 'I would go' in Spanish", "ser in the present subjunctive". Args: verb, language, tense, mood.

verb_info — Whether a verb is regular or irregular, its conjugation class (-ar/-er/-ir, or 'irregular'), and its meaning if it's a widely-known basic verb in this connector's curated list. Use for "is 'fazer' regular or irregular", "what class of verb is 'vivir'". Args: verb, language.

identify_conjugated_form — Reverse lookup: given an already-conjugated word, works out which verb/tense/mood/person it could be, by checking it against the irregular-verb table and by stripping known regular endings and checking the reconstructed infinitive. Portuguese/Spanish conjugated forms are sometimes genuinely ambiguous (e.g. Portuguese "foi" is both "he/she was" and "he/she went"; a "-mos" nós/nosotros form is often identical in the present and the preterite), so this can return more than one plausible match. Use for "what verb form is 'fizemos'", "identify 'quería'". Args: word, language.

Learn the rules

tense_list — The tenses/moods this connector supports, each with a one-line explanation of when to use it. Use for "what tenses can you conjugate", "when do I use the imperfect vs. the preterite". Args: language.

conjugation_pattern_explainer — Explains the actual regular-conjugation ending pattern for a verb class + tense/mood — the endings themselves, what they attach to (stem vs. full infinitive), and a worked example — so you learn the rule rather than just getting one answer. Use for "what are the endings for -ar verbs in the Portuguese preterite", "explain the Spanish -ir present subjunctive pattern". Args: language, verb_class, tense, mood.

irregular_verbs_list — The irregular verbs in this connector's curated table (14 per language), each with its meaning and irregularity tags — optionally filtered to verbs sharing one irregularity pattern. Use for "which Spanish verbs are stem-changing in your data", "list the Portuguese irregular verbs". Args: language, pattern.

Compare & study

compare_languages — Side-by-side conjugation of a Portuguese/Spanish verb pair, for learners who know one language and are picking up the other. Give one verb (e.g. verb_pt='ter') and it looks up the other half of the pair (tener) from a curated list of common verb pairings; give both explicitly for a pair not in that list. Use for "compare ser and ser in Portuguese and Spanish", "show me fazer next to hacer in the preterite". Args: verb_pt, verb_es, tense, mood.

pronoun_reference — The subject pronoun set for Portuguese or Spanish, with usage notes — Brazilian Portuguese's everyday "você" vs. the regionally-limited "tu"; Spanish "vosotros" being Spain-only vs. "ustedes" everywhere else. Use for "what's the difference between tu and você", "when do I use vosotros". Args: language.

common_verb_list — A curated study list of ~70 common everyday Portuguese or Spanish verbs, optionally filtered by category, each with its meaning and conjugation class. Use for "give me a list of common Spanish verbs about movement", "everyday Portuguese verbs to study". Args: language, category.

Reference

verb_glossary — Definitions of grammar terms used throughout this connector — mood, tense, conjugation, stem, regular vs. irregular, subjunctive, stem-changing verb, and more. Use for "what does 'stem-changing' mean", "define subjunctive mood". Args: term.

Conventions

  • Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
  • Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
  • Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.

Conjuga — Privacy Policy

Effective 24 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Conjuga is. Conjuga is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for Portuguese and Spanish verb conjugation: full six-person conjugations, verb classification, a reverse conjugated-form identifier, and grammar/study-list explainers. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a verb, a language, a tense/mood, a word to identify, or a category or pattern filter — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed or answered from bundled, hand-verified data and nothing is stored. Regular verbs are conjugated by rule at request time; irregular verbs and the common-verb/glossary lists are read from files bundled with the server. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — everything is computed or answered locally from data bundled with the server. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Conjuga is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Conjuga — Terms of Service

Effective 24 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Conjuga connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Conjuga returns Portuguese and Spanish verb conjugations — computed by a rule-based regular-conjugation engine, or read from a hand-verified table of common irregular verbs — along with verb classification, a reverse conjugated-form identifier, and grammar/study-list explainers. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. A language-learning tool, not a certified reference. Conjuga is an independent tool for learning and checking Portuguese/Spanish verb conjugation. It is not a substitute for a qualified language teacher, a professional translator, or an authoritative grammar reference, and it should not be relied on for professional translation, academic submissions, or any use where an incorrect conjugation could cause harm.
  3. Known limits. The regular-conjugation engine covers standard -ar/-er/-ir verbs and common spelling-change patterns; it does not attempt Spanish stem-changing verbs or Portuguese vowel-raising verbs beyond the 14 curated irregular verbs, and it does not cover the imperative, gerund, past participle, or compound tenses. verb_info flags verbs outside the curated common-verb list.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is computed or answered from data bundled with the server, and nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
