About

Decksense computes what can be computed for presentation design and gives honest reference for what can't. contrast_ratio_check and color_palette_check compute exact WCAG 2.x contrast ratios (relative luminance formula) between colors, with AA/AAA pass/fail. text_density_check computes word/bullet counts against the '6x6' rule of thumb; one_idea_check gives a structural line/word-count heuristic on whether a slide covers one idea. slide_design_principles covers text density, contrast, one-idea-per-slide, data visualization, hierarchy, whitespace and consistency. data_viz_recommendation gives hand-curated chart-type guidance by data shape, with notes when category/series counts push toward a different treatment. pacing_guidance and slide_count_recommendation compute minutes-per-slide math both directions. font_pairing_suggestion gives structural (not brand-specific) pairing guidance. presentation_checklist is a pre-presentation checklist with extra items for remote talks. Keyless; fully local; nothing stored.

Sources: Contrast ratios use the exact WCAG 2.x relative-luminance formula; pacing/slide-count are exact arithmetic; design and chart-type guidance is hand-curated from widely-published presentation-design and data-visualization practice; fully local, zero upstream calls

10 tools, grouped by job. Every one is read-only or compute-only.

OpenAPI
Computed Checks4 tools
  • Contrast ratio checkCompute the exact WCAG 2.x contrast ratio between two colors and whether it passes AA/AAA for normal/large text.
  • Color palette checkCompute contrast ratios across every pair in a color palette, flagging near-indistinguishable pairs and an oversized palette.
  • Text density checkCompute word/bullet counts for a slide's text against the "6x6" rule of thumb (max ~6 bullets, ~6 words each).
  • One idea checkA structural heuristic (line/word counts) on whether a slide likely covers one idea or several.
Design Reference3 tools
  • Slide design principlesSlide design principles — text density, contrast, one-idea-per-slide, data visualization, hierarchy, whitespace, consistency.
  • Data viz recommendationChart-type recommendation and rationale for a data shape, with notes if category/series counts push toward a different treatment.
  • Font pairing suggestionStructural (not brand-specific) headline/body font-pairing guidance for a style.
Pacing & Prep3 tools
  • Pacing guidanceCompute minutes-per-slide and a plain-language pacing verdict for a talk length and slide count.

What Decksense is for

"Is this text readable on a dark background", "is this slide too dense", "what chart should I use for this data", "how many slides for a 20-minute talk" — computed answers where a computation actually applies, and honest reference where it doesn't.

What it does

contrast_ratio_check computes the exact WCAG 2.x contrast ratio between two hex colors using the real relative- luminance formula, and reports whether it passes AA/AAA for normal or large text — not a guess, genuine math you can verify (black on white comes back as exactly 21:1, the standard reference value). color_palette_check runs this across every pair in a palette, flagging near-indistinguishable pairs and an oversized color set. text_density_check computes word and bullet counts against the well-known "6x6" rule of thumb. one_idea_check gives a structural heuristic verdict — based on line and word counts, not a reading of your actual content — on whether a slide is likely trying to cover more than one idea. slide_design_principles covers text density, contrast, one-idea-per-slide, data visualization, hierarchy, whitespace, and consistency. data_viz_recommendation gives hand-curated chart-type guidance for a data shape (categorical comparison, time series, part-to-whole, distribution, correlation, ranking, geographic), with notes when category or series counts push toward a different treatment. pacing_guidance and slide_count_recommendation compute minutes-per-slide math both directions. font_pairing_suggestion gives pairing guidance by structural role (weight, contrast, letterform) rather than naming specific font products. presentation_checklist is a pre-presentation checklist, with extra items when you mention a remote or virtual talk.

What it is not

Contrast and pacing numbers are exact, checkable computation. Design and chart-type guidance reflects widely published presentation-design practice (the kind found across style guides and data-visualization references), not the defaults of any specific software or a fabricated statistic about what works best. one_idea_check and text_density_check are structural heuristics on line/word counts — they flag shape, not substance, so use them as a prompt to re-check a slide, not a final verdict on its content.

Decksense — Privacy Policy

Effective 25 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Decksense is. Decksense is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for presentation design guidance: computed WCAG contrast-ratio checking, text-density and one-idea-per-slide heuristics, and pacing/slide-count math, plus hand-curated data-visualization and design-principle reference. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one request.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — hex colors, slide text, a data type, or a talk duration and slide count — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. Every tool is a local calculation or a lookup against a bundled, hand-curated reference; no request is forwarded to any third party. Text you submit is processed for that one response and is not logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, or account credentials, and we do not build a profile from your requests: each one is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed or looked up locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Decksense is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Decksense — Terms of Service

Effective 25 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Decksense connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Decksense provides presentation design guidance: computed WCAG contrast-ratio checking, text-density and one-idea-per-slide heuristics, and pacing/slide-count math, plus hand-curated data-visualization and design-principle reference, computed or looked up entirely on our server. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. General information, not professional advice. Decksense's output is a drafting aid and reference tool. It is not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice, and nothing it generates should be treated as a final, authoritative, or verified document without your own review.
  3. Original output. Templates, messages, and reference content generated or bundled by the Service are original compositions or hand-curated summaries of publicly known conventions — not reproductions of any single copyrighted source. You are responsible for reviewing and adapting anything generated before you rely on or send it.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your input is answered on our server and nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
