rule_lookup — Full detail for one rule topic of a named game: a summary, numbered explanation points, and concrete examples. Omit topic to list every rule topic covered for that game. Covers setup, legal moves, flipping/capturing, passing, game end, scoring and turn order for the flip-and-capture disc game (Othello/Reversi); setup, dropping, the win condition, draws, turn order and full columns for the drop-and-connect game (Connect Four). Use for "what's the flipping rule", "how does passing work", "what counts as a win in Connect Four". Args: game, topic.
term_glossary — Definitions of shared and game-specific vocabulary across both games — corner, edge, X-square, C-square, frontier disc, stable disc, mobility, parity, threat, odd/even threat, double threat (fork), zugzwang, center column, solved game, branching factor, and more. Omit term to list the full glossary. Use for "what's an X-square", "what does zugzwang mean here", "what's a double threat". Args: term.
strategy_concept — Explains one named strategy concept for a game, in detail. For the flip-and-capture disc game (Othello/Reversi): corners, edges/X-squares/C-squares, mobility, endgame parity, and frontier/disc-count restraint. For the drop-and-connect game (Connect Four): center-column control, odd/even threats, double threats (forks), blocking/forced responses, and tempo/waiting play. Omit name to list every concept for that game. Use for "why are corners important", "what's a double threat", "what is parity in the endgame". Args: game, name.
opening_concept — Explains one named early-game/opening idea for a game. For the flip-and-capture disc game: diagonal, perpendicular and parallel openings, and center-minimizing restraint. For the drop-and-connect game: center-column start, mirroring response, building toward a double threat, and claiming column parity. Omit name to list every opening concept for that game. Use for "what is a diagonal opening in Othello", "what's the best first move in Connect Four". Args: game, name.
variant_info — Explains one named variant of either game — real published variants (Pop Out, Power Up) and informal ones (large/rectangular boards, a fewest-discs-wins misère version, non-standard starting positions and timed play for the flip-and-capture disc game; wider grids, a five-in-a-row drop version, and a three-dimensional stacking version for the drop-and-connect game). Use for "what is the Pop Out variant", "is there a bigger board version of Othello". Args: name.
game_comparison — A side-by-side comparison of both games: board, pieces, objective, and solved-game status for each, plus their shared traits and key mechanical differences (placement vs. dropping, capturing vs. never changing existing discs, majority-count vs. instant four-in-a-row). Use for "compare Othello and Connect Four", "how are these two games different".
board_size_info — Describes a game's standard board size (dimensions and cell count) plus other sizes sometimes seen for it, informally or in specific published variants. Use for "what size is a standard Othello board", "are there bigger Connect Four boards". Args: game.
beginner_tips — A curated, importance-ordered shortlist of tips for a player new to a named game. Use for "what should a beginner focus on in Othello", "tips for a new Connect Four player". Args: game, count.

What Disc is. Disc is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for flip-and-capture disc game and drop-and-connect game rules and strategy — corners, mobility, odd/even threats and more. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Disc is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
