What Egypt e-Invoice Pre-flight Kit is for

Offline pre-flight aid for the Egyptian Tax Authority e-invoicing system, built from the public ETA SDK pages for the Invoice v1.0 document (issuer, receiver, address, invoice lines, totals) read on 29 September 2026. It assembles a draft invoice JSON with the SDK's field names, checks a draft for missing, unknown or malformed fields, recomputes the documented totals (total sales, discounts, net amount, per-tax totals, total amount) from the line amounts you supply, checks GS1 item codes by check digit, plans API pacing inside the published rate limits and lists the onboarding steps. It cannot check tax type, sub-type, unit, activity, currency or country codes, does not compute tax bases, and never signs (an eSeal certificate is needed) or submits anything. Document-level extra discounts, foreign-currency lines, value differences and taxable fees are not modelled. Independent tool; not affiliated with the Egyptian Tax Authority.

What it does

build_invoice_draft: Assemble a draft ETA Invoice v1.0 JSON with the SDK field names from issuer, receiver and lines, with recomputed line and invoice totals; draft only, unsigned.
validate_invoice_draft: Check a draft against the Invoice v1.0 field tables: required fields, unknown names, allowed values, date format, line arithmetic and totals.
compute_invoice_totals: Recompute line totals, discounts and the invoice totals from the documented relationships, using the tax amounts you supply.
check_item_code: Check a GS1 item code (GTIN-8, 12, 13 or 14) by length and check digit, or note that the EGS format was not read.
plan_api_calls: Pacing plan inside the published per-endpoint rate limits (for example Get Document 2 per second, Printout 1 per 5 seconds).
onboarding_checklist: The ETA onboarding steps in order and what the owner must obtain at each.

Egypt e-Invoice Pre-flight Kit is independent; not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any government body, central bank, standards body or scheme operator. Names of rails, schemes and standards are used only to say what a tool works with. It is read-only: it never sends, pays, files or signs anything for you, and it never looks up private individuals.

Look up & validate

validate_invoice_draft — Check a draft against the Invoice v1.0 field tables: required fields, unknown names, allowed values, date format, line arithmetic and totals. Use for "Is this invoice draft missing anything before I hand it to my ERP or accountant?". Args: document.

check_item_code — Check a GS1 item code (GTIN-8, 12, 13 or 14) by length and check digit, or note that the EGS format was not read. Use for "Is this barcode a valid GS1 item code for an ETA invoice line?". Args: item_code, item_type.

Conventions

Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.
