About

EssayOutline generates essay structure help locally. outline_generator gives a real, type-appropriate outline for argumentative (thesis, three claim-evidence-analysis paragraphs, counterargument, conclusion), narrative (a real story-arc: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution, reflection), expository, compare_contrast (point-by-point, with a block-method note), and cause_effect essays. thesis_strength_checker runs six deterministic heuristic checks (question, announcement, clear position, hedging, vague words, length) and returns a weak/moderate/strong verdict with the specific issues found - the same thesis always gets the same verdict. transition_word_reference lists real transitions by function (addition, contrast, cause_effect, sequence_time, emphasis, example, comparison, conclusion_summary). paragraph_structure_reference explains PEEL and CEA. Keyless; zero upstream calls; nothing submitted is stored.

What EssayOutline is for

Essay-structure help for questions like "give me an outline for an argumentative essay about X", "is this a strong thesis", "give me contrast transition words" — answered locally from hand-curated outline templates and a deterministic heuristic checker.

What it does

outline_generator gives a real, type-appropriate structured outline for five essay types: argumentative (thesis, three claim-evidence-analysis body paragraphs, a counterargument and rebuttal, conclusion), narrative (a genuine story-arc structure — exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution, reflection), expository (thesis, three subtopic-explanation-example body paragraphs, conclusion), compare_contrast (a point-by-point comparison across three dimensions, with a note on the alternative block method), and cause_effect (three causes or effects each explained, with a note on choosing a causes/effects/chain focus). thesis_strength_checker runs six deterministic heuristic checks on a thesis statement you provide — whether it's phrased as a question, whether it merely announces the topic instead of making a claim, whether it takes a clear identifiable position, whether it hedges ("I think", "maybe"), whether it relies on vague filler words ("bad", "important"), and whether its length is reasonable (8-40 words) — and returns an overall weak/moderate/strong verdict with the specific issues found, so the same thesis always gets the same verdict for the same stated reasons. transition_word_reference lists real transition words and phrases grouped by the function they serve (addition, contrast, cause and effect, sequence/time, emphasis, example, comparison, conclusion/summary). paragraph_structure_reference explains two widely taught body-paragraph frameworks: PEEL (Point, Evidence, Explain, Link) and CEA (Claim, Evidence, Analysis).

What the thesis checker is (and isn't)

It is a set of deterministic, rule-based checks — not a model judgment and not a grading tool. It flags concrete surface patterns: a question mark at the end, phrases like "in this essay I will discuss", the absence of any stance word (should, causes, is more effective than, and similar), hedging language, common vague filler words, and word count outside a typical range. A thesis can pass every check here and still need real substantive improvement (a checker can't judge whether your evidence is good), and a thesis can fail a check for a legitimate stylistic reason in context — treat the verdict as a quick first pass, not a final grade.

What it is not

Not a grading tool or a substitute for feedback from an instructor. Not a fact-checker or evidence generator — outline sections that call for evidence or examples are for you to fill in honestly. It never calls any outside service or database — everything is bundled with the server, and nothing you submit is stored or logged.

EssayOutline — Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What EssayOutline is. EssayOutline is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a fully local essay-outline generator, thesis-strength checker, transition-word reference, and paragraph-structure reference. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one tool call.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — which may include an essay type, a topic, a thesis statement, or a lookup term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

We do not store, log, or retain the content of your queries. thesis_strength_checker and every other tool analyze or compute on the text you send in memory, for that one request, and return a result — nothing about the content of a thesis, topic, or essay is written to a database, written to a request log, cached, or used to train anything. Request bodies are not logged.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps, never the request content) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — there is no upstream call at all; every tool analyzes your submitted text locally or reads from a reference file bundled with the server. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived, content-free logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. EssayOutline is a general-audience educational writing-practice service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

EssayOutline — Terms of Service

Effective 28 September 2026. These terms govern use of the EssayOutline connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. EssayOutline is a fully local essay-outline generator, thesis-strength heuristic checker, transition-word reference, and paragraph-structure reference. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. A study aid, not a grading tool. thesis_strength_checker's checks are deterministic, rule-based heuristics — not a model judgment, not an evaluation of argument quality or evidence, and not a substitute for feedback from a qualified instructor. A thesis passing every check is not guaranteed to be a good thesis, and a thesis failing a check may still be appropriate in context.
  3. No fabricated content. Outline sections that call for evidence, examples, or sources are structural prompts for you to fill in honestly with your own real research — the Service does not generate or supply evidence on your behalf.
  4. Your content. Text you or your assistant submit (a thesis, a topic) is analyzed in memory only to compute that one response.
  5. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  6. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  7. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: submitted text is analyzed in memory for that one request and never stored or logged.
  8. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder, and may be revoked for abuse.
  9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service, including any academic outcome or grade.
  10. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
