About

Gameshow is a fully local, hand-curated TV game-show FORMAT reference — a format/hosting guide, not a database of any one show's exact proprietary rules. format_archetype_info gives full detail on one of 12 generic format archetypes (trivia & knowledge-test, wheel-spin-and-guess, word/phrase puzzle-reveal, price-guessing, physical obstacle-challenge, dating & matchmaking, survey-guessing, talent & performance-judged, hidden-identity & bluffing, risk-ladder press-your-luck, social-strategy elimination, skill-craft timed-challenge) — how it generically works, typical structure, energy level, ideal group size, and what makes it fun — or lists them all. real_show_example gives brief factual one-line real-show examples for an archetype. term_glossary defines game-show lingo like bonus round, lifeline, sudden death, isolation booth and buzzer. host_your_own_tip gives generic advice on designing and running a home party version — picking a format, writing your own questions, building a DIY wheel, buzzer alternatives, scorekeeping, pacing, prizes, adapting for kids, physical safety. judging_scoring_generic explains a generic scoring/judging approach (point tally, elimination, judge-panel, audience-vote, handicap scoring, tiebreakers). find_format_for_group recommends the best archetypes for a given player count and energy level. category_list groups every archetype into its broader category with counts. beginner_tips gives a ranked shortlist for a first-time host. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.

What Gameshow is for

"How does a wheel-spin format actually work?", "what real shows are like Wheel of Fortune?", "how do I host a game-show night for my family?", "what's an isolation booth?" — a hand-curated reference to the generic formats that TV game shows are built from, plus practical guidance for running your own home party version.

What it does

format_archetype_info gives full detail on one of 12 generic format archetypes — trivia & knowledge-test, wheel-spin-and-guess, word/phrase puzzle-reveal, price-guessing, physical obstacle-challenge, dating & matchmaking, survey-guessing, talent & performance-judged, hidden-identity & bluffing, risk-ladder / press-your-luck, social-strategy elimination, and skill-craft timed-challenge — describing generically how the mechanic works, its typical structure, energy level, ideal group size, and what makes it fun, or lists them all. real_show_example gives brief, factual one-line examples of real shows that exemplify a given archetype. term_glossary defines common game-show lingo. host_your_own_tip gives practical, generic advice on designing and running a home party version. judging_scoring_generic explains a generic scoring or judging approach. find_format_for_group recommends the best-fitting archetypes for a given player count and desired energy level. category_list groups every archetype into its broader category with counts. beginner_tips gives a ranked shortlist of practical advice for a first-time host.

What it is not

Not a database of any single real show's exact proprietary rules, round structure, or branding. Real, famous shows are named only as brief, factual one-line examples of a broader format category.

Conventions

  • Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
  • Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). A safety_notice is attached whenever a result touches an archetype tagged with real physical risk (physical obstacle-challenge, skill-craft timed-challenge).
  • Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.

Privacy policy

Gameshow — Privacy Policy

Effective 25 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Gameshow is. Gameshow is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated, fully local TV game-show FORMAT reference — generic format archetypes, factual real-show examples, a hosting glossary, home-party hosting tips, generic scoring/judging approaches, and a group-size/energy-level recommender. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a format archetype name, a glossary term, a hosting topic, a scoring topic, or a player count and energy level — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Gameshow is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Gameshow — Terms of Service

Effective 25 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Gameshow connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Gameshow returns a hand-curated, fully local TV game-show FORMAT reference — generic format archetypes, factual real-show examples, a hosting glossary, home-party hosting tips, generic scoring/judging approaches, a group-size/energy-level recommender, and a beginner-host tip list. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Original content; factual references only. The Service describes generic game-show format archetypes in original language. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a database of the exact proprietary rules, round structure, or branding of any specific real television program. Real shows named as examples are factual references to a broader format category only, and all trademarks and copyrighted formats referenced remain the property of their respective owners.
  3. Reference, not instructions to reproduce a copyrighted show. Content reflects general, widely understood game-show format conventions and original hosting advice as of the build date stated in the Service's own data. It is intended to help you design and run your own home-party-style game, not to reproduce any specific copyrighted program.
  4. Physical safety. Any content describing a physical-challenge or skill-craft activity is general advice only, not tested or certified safety guidance. Use ordinary judgment, supervise children and physical activities appropriately, and stop any activity immediately if it becomes unsafe. Use of this Service for any activity with real physical risk is entirely at your own risk.
  5. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  6. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  7. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered from a bundled reference file, and nothing is stored.
  8. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service — including reliance on any physical-challenge or skill-craft content without appropriate supervision or precautions. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  10. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
