About

Give USD puts US charitable-giving tax-deduction arithmetic behind one connector, computed locally from bundled, dated IRS figures — nothing fetched, nothing stored. standard_deduction_lookup gives the current standard deduction for a filing status and year, including 65-or-older/blind additions. itemize_vs_standard_calculator is the core tool: given a charitable gift, other itemized deductions, filing status, and year, it computes whether itemizing beats the standard deduction and exactly how much of the gift itself reduces taxes — only the portion beyond the standard-deduction gap counts, unless other deductions alone already clear it. charity_verification_concept explains why 501(c)(3) status matters and how to check it. noncash_donation_valuation_basics covers fair-market-value valuation for clothing/household items, vehicles (the special gross-proceeds rule), publicly traded stock, and real estate. appraisal_requirement_check applies the real IRS dollar thresholds (written acknowledgment, Form 8283, qualified appraisal, attachment to the return) to a donation type and value. charitable_deduction_agi_limit_check applies the 60%-of-AGI (cash) and 30%-of-AGI (appreciated property) limits for gifts to public charities, with any 5-year carryover. donor_advised_fund_explainer covers what a DAF is and when the deduction is taken. charitable_glossary defines FMV, 501(c)(3), bunching, Form 8283, qualified appraisal, carryover, cost basis, and QCD. General educational information, not tax advice.

Sources: Computed locally from bundled, dated IRS figures (standard deduction by filing status/year, AGI percentage limits under IRC 170(b), noncash substantiation thresholds under Form 8283/Publication 561/IRC 170(f)(12)); fully local, zero upstream calls

What Give USD is for

"Does donating to charity actually lower my taxes?", "should I itemize this year?", "do I need an appraisal for this donation?", "what's a donor-advised fund?" — the charitable-giving tax questions people ask before they write a check, answered with real, bundled IRS figures and worked arithmetic, computed fully locally.

What it does

standard_deduction_lookup gives the current IRS standard deduction for a filing status and year, including the 65-or-older/blind additions. itemize_vs_standard_calculator is the core tool: given a charitable gift, other itemized deductions, filing status, and year, it computes whether itemizing beats the standard deduction — and exactly how much of the GIFT ITSELF actually reduces taxes, since only the portion that pushes total itemized deductions past the standard deduction counts, unless other deductions alone already clear it. charity_verification_concept explains why 501(c)(3) status matters and how to check it before giving. noncash_donation_valuation_basics covers fair-market-value valuation for clothing/household items, vehicles (the special gross-proceeds rule), publicly traded stock, and real estate/other property. appraisal_requirement_check applies the real IRS dollar thresholds — a written acknowledgment, Form 8283, a qualified appraisal, attaching the appraisal to the return — to a donation type and value. charitable_deduction_agi_limit_check applies the 60%-of-AGI (cash) and 30%-of-AGI (appreciated property) limits for gifts to public charities, with any 5-year carryover. donor_advised_fund_explainer covers what a DAF is, why people use one, and — importantly — when the deduction is actually taken. charitable_glossary defines fair market value, 501(c)(3), bunching, Form 8283, qualified appraisal, carryover, cost basis, and a qualified charitable distribution.

What it is not

Give USD is general educational information computed from bundled, dated IRS figures and standard tax-law mechanics — not personalized tax or financial advice, and not a substitute for a tax professional or irs.gov. It does not know a filer's full return, state taxes, phase-outs, or any details beyond what's supplied. Standard-deduction figures are supported for tax years 2025 and 2026 only — the tables need updating when the IRS publishes new figures for a later year.

Give USD — Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Give USD is. Give USD is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for US charitable-giving tax-deduction calculations: standard deduction lookups, an itemize-vs-standard calculator, appraisal-requirement checks, and AGI percentage-limit calculations. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the numbers needed for that one calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a filing status, a tax year, a charitable-gift amount, other itemized-deduction totals, an AGI figure, a donation type and value, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. Every calculation uses bundled, dated IRS figures and standard published formulas computed from the numbers you provide; no request is forwarded to any third party, and no query — including any gift amount, deduction total, or AGI figure you enter — is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, Social Security number, filing details beyond the numbers you supply, or the name of any charity you give to, and we do not build a financial or giving profile from your queries: each calculation is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Give USD is a general-audience service for adults; we knowingly collect no personal data from anyone.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Give USD — Terms of Service

Effective 28 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Give USD connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Give USD returns US charitable-giving tax-deduction calculations — standard deduction lookups, an itemize-vs-standard calculator, qualified-charity verification concept, non-cash donation valuation basics, appraisal-requirement thresholds, AGI percentage-limit calculations, a donor-advised fund explainer, and a glossary — computed from bundled, dated IRS figures and the numbers you provide. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Not tax or financial advice. Give USD's calculations are general educational information and illustrative arithmetic based on bundled, dated IRS figures and rules you supply — not a recommendation, and not individualized tax or financial advice. Consult a qualified tax professional or irs.gov for guidance tailored to your situation before making a filing or giving decision.
  3. Not a charity-status database. charity_verification_concept explains how and why to check an organization's tax-exempt status; it does not itself look up or confirm any specific organization's status — use the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search at irs.gov for that.
  4. Rates and rules change. Standard deduction amounts, AGI percentage limits, and substantiation dollar thresholds are supported for tax years 2025 and 2026 as published at build time; the government revises figures and rules over time. Always check irs.gov before relying on a figure for a filing.
  5. Estimates, not guarantees. Actual deductibility, appraisal requirements, and carryover treatment depend on facts and circumstances not captured here (state law, the specific organization's status, documentation actually obtained); nothing in the Service guarantees any particular tax outcome.
  6. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  7. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  8. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered on our server and nothing is stored.
  9. Attribution. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) published figures and forms (standard deduction amounts, Form 8283, Form 1098-C, Publication 561, IRC 170).
  10. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  11. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any financial or tax loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  12. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
