48-term insurance glossary, a real out-of-pocket cost calculator, and a policy-type comparison
Unify Dynamics LLC
Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
insurance_glossaryinsurance_glossaryout_of_pocket_costpolicy_type_comparisoninsurance_glossarypolicy_type_comparisonInsureGlossary is an insurance-literacy toolkit. insurance_glossary defines 48 terms across general, auto, home, health, and life insurance -- premium, deductible, copay, coinsurance, out-of-pocket max, actual cash value vs replacement cost, umbrella policy, rider, exclusion, subrogation, HMO vs PPO, term vs whole life, and more -- searchable by term or filterable by category. out_of_pocket_cost runs a claim through the real deductible -> coinsurance -> out-of-pocket-max waterfall: the member pays 100% up to the remaining deductible, then their coinsurance percentage of what's left (capped by remaining OOP-max room), after which the insurer pays 100% of the rest -- it accounts for amounts already met earlier in the period. policy_type_comparison lays out what auto, home, health, and life insurance typically cover, typically exclude, and their common riders, one type or all four side by side. General educational information, not insurance or legal advice.
Sources: Computed locally from a bundled insurance-terminology and policy-type reference dataset; the out-of-pocket calculator models the standard deductible/coinsurance/out-of-pocket-max cost-sharing structure used across US health, auto, and home policies -- fully local, zero upstream calls

"What does coinsurance mean", "what's the difference between actual cash value and replacement cost", "I have a $1,000 deductible, 20% coinsurance, and a $5,000 out-of-pocket max — what will a $10,000 claim actually cost me", "what does homeowners insurance typically NOT cover" — the insurance-jargon and cost-sharing-math questions people ask before they call their agent or read the fine print themselves.
insurance_glossary defines 48 terms spanning general insurance concepts, auto, home, health, and life
insurance — premium, deductible, copay, coinsurance, out-of-pocket max, actual cash value vs. replacement
cost, umbrella policy, rider, exclusion, subrogation, HMO vs. PPO, term vs. whole life, and more — searchable
by term or filterable by category. out_of_pocket_cost runs a claim through the real deductible ->
coinsurance -> out-of-pocket-max waterfall used by essentially every US health, auto, and home policy: the
member pays 100% of costs up to the remaining deductible, then their coinsurance percentage of what's left
(capped by whatever out-of-pocket-max room remains), after which the insurer covers 100% of the rest — it
accounts for deductible and out-of-pocket amounts already met earlier in the period, for a mid-year claim.
policy_type_comparison lays out what auto, home, health, and life insurance typically cover, typically
exclude, and their common optional riders, one type in depth or all four side by side.
Not insurance, legal, or financial advice, and not a substitute for your actual policy documents (the declarations page, policy wording, and Explanation of Benefits), your insurer, or a licensed insurance professional. The out-of-pocket calculator models the standard deductible/coinsurance/OOP-max structure used by most plans, but every real policy has its own definitions, sublimits, and exclusions that can change the right answer for a specific claim — always confirm against your actual policy before making a decision.

What InsureGlossary is. InsureGlossary is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf to look up insurance terminology, run a generic out-of-pocket cost calculation, or compare policy types. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the numbers or terms needed for that one request.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a glossary term or category, a claim amount, deductible, coinsurance percentage, and out-of-pocket max, or a policy type — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is computed locally from bundled reference data and the numbers you provide, and nothing is stored. There is no upstream call of any kind — the glossary and policy-type comparison are a bundled reference dataset, and the cost calculator is pure arithmetic — and no request, including any dollar figure you enter, is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, your actual policy number, insurer name, or any other identifying or account information, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally from a bundled dataset with no upstream call. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. InsureGlossary is a general-audience service for adults; we knowingly collect no personal data from anyone.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
