About

Khaleej (Gulf) is a fully local GCC/Gulf-region civic and general reference. country_info looks up one GCC country's capital, currency, calling code, official language and national day; country_search searches every country by keyword. gcc_overview_info covers the Gulf Cooperation Council itself: its 1981 founding, all six member states, its purpose, and milestones including the stalled 'Khaleeji' common-currency proposal. compare_countries gives a side-by-side table across all six states or a chosen subset. business_week_info gives each country's current weekend days -- most of the region uses Friday-Saturday, but the UAE alone moved to Saturday-Sunday (with a Friday half day) from 1 January 2022, and Saudi Arabia moved from Thursday-Friday to Friday-Saturday in 2013. currency_reference gives each currency's ISO code and long-standing peg arrangement (five of six pegged to the US dollar; the Kuwaiti dinar floats against an undisclosed basket) -- factual reference only, never a live exchange rate. national_day_info gives each country's national-day date and historical significance. dialing_and_format_reference gives calling codes and phone-number format conventions. khaleej_glossary covers ten GCC-specific terms and the Khaleeji identity concept. Keyless; fully local, zero upstream calls; distinct from India-specific or Levant/Egypt-specific reference data, which live in other connectors.

Sources: Hand-curated GCC/Gulf-region civic reference, verified via public sources (government and news reporting on national days, GCC history, currency pegs and 2013/2022 weekend policy changes) as of build date; fully local, zero upstream calls

What Khaleej (Gulf) is for

"Khaleej" (خليج) is the Arabic word for "gulf," and "Khaleeji" is how people across the region describe themselves and their shared culture. This connector is a fully local civic and general-knowledge reference for the six Gulf Cooperation Council states -- Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman -- for anyone who wants a quick, accurate answer about a Gulf country's basics, the GCC as an institution, or a practical fact like which days its weekend falls on. It is deliberately distinct from India-specific reference data and from Levant- or Egypt-specific content, which live in other connectors.

What it does

Look up one GCC country's capital, currency, calling code, official language and national day (country_info); search every country by keyword (country_search); get the GCC institution's own founding, members and purpose, including its stalled "Khaleeji" common-currency proposal (gcc_overview_info); compare all six states, or a chosen subset, side by side (compare_countries); check each country's current weekend days -- most of the region uses Friday-Saturday, but the UAE alone moved to Saturday-Sunday from 1 January 2022 (business_week_info); look up each currency's ISO code and long-standing peg arrangement, never a live rate (currency_reference); get each country's national-day date and a brief note on its significance (national_day_info); look up calling codes and general phone-number format conventions (dialing_and_format_reference); and browse a ten-term glossary of GCC-specific vocabulary and the Khaleeji identity concept (khaleej_glossary).

What it is not

Khaleej (Gulf) is a hand-curated reference as of its stated build date, not a live government feed. National days, currency pegs and weekend policy are all things Gulf governments occasionally change by decree -- the UAE's own move to a Saturday-Sunday weekend in 2022 is a case in point -- so for anything time-critical, check an official source. currency_reference states each currency's long-standing peg arrangement, never a live or current market exchange rate; for an actual conversion, use a live financial data source instead. Public holidays here are covered only at the level of a general regional note about which multi-day Islamic holidays (Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha) are common across the GCC -- this connector deliberately does not attempt its own Hijri-to-Gregorian calendar calculation for a year-by-year holiday date list; cross-reference a connector purpose-built for Islamic calendar calculation for that level of detail instead of expecting it here.

Conventions

  • Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
  • Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
  • Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.

Privacy policy

Khaleej (Gulf) — Privacy Policy

Effective 24 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Khaleej (Gulf) is. Khaleej (Gulf) is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a fully local GCC/Gulf-region civic and general reference: per-country facts, GCC institutional information, business-week and currency reference, national-day dates, dialing conventions, and a small glossary. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a country name, a search keyword, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Khaleej (Gulf) is a general-audience civic and reference service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Khaleej (Gulf) — Terms of Service

Effective 24 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Khaleej (Gulf) connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Khaleej (Gulf) returns a fully local, hand-curated civic and general reference for the six GCC member states — per-country facts (capital, currency, calling code, official language, national day), GCC institutional information, business-week and currency reference, dialing conventions, and a glossary — from data hand-curated and verified at build time. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Reference only, not a live government feed. Khaleej (Gulf) is an independent reference tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by the Gulf Cooperation Council or any of its member governments. National-day dates, currency peg arrangements and weekend/business-week policy are stated as of this Service's build date and can be changed by government decree at any time; currency_reference never states a live or current market exchange rate. Islamic-calendar holiday coverage is general and qualitative, not a year-by-year calculated calendar.
  3. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  4. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  5. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered from a bundled reference file, and nothing is stored.
  6. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  7. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  8. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
