Real recipes with scaled measures, what-can-I-cook, weekly plans, cocktails and substitutions
Unify Dynamics LLC
Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
recipe_searchrecipe_searchrecipewhat_can_i_cookmeal_planrandom_recipecocktailsubstituteingredientKitchen turns cooking questions into real recipes. Search by dish name for full recipes, or by main ingredient, category (Vegetarian, Vegan, Seafood, Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Pork, Pasta, Dessert, Breakfast, Side, Starter) or cuisine, with an any-of fallback when a combination has nothing. Full recipes carry ingredients with measures, ordered steps, cuisine, tags, image, video and source, and can be scaled by any factor with kitchen-fraction rounding. what_can_i_cook takes up to four ingredients and returns recipes using all of them, or the best partial matches. meal_plan draws a deterministic week of dinners from a cuisine and/or category. cocktail returns full recipes by name with measures, glass and IBA status, lists by base spirit or non-alcoholic, or a random pick. substitute covers ~100 staples — dairy, eggs, flours and leavening, sugars, oils, sauces, herbs and spices including Indian and East Asian pantry items, proteins, produce, thickeners — with ratios and caveats. ingredient explains an ingredient with a photo and recipes that use it. Keyless; nothing stored.

Recipe search by name (full recipes), by main ingredient, category (Vegetarian, Vegan, Seafood, Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Pork, Pasta, Dessert, Breakfast, Side, Starter, Goat) or cuisine, with an any-of fallback when a combination has no match. Full recipes with ingredients and measures, steps, tags, image, video and source, scaled by any factor with kitchen-fraction rounding. What-can-I-cook from up to four ingredients with all-matched or best-partial results. Deterministic weekly meal plans from a cuisine and/or category. Random recipe. Cocktails by name with measures, glass, IBA status and method; lists by base spirit or non-alcoholic; random pick. Substitutions for ~100 staples with ratios and caveats. Ingredient descriptions and photos with recipes that use them.
Kitchen is not a nutrition calculator (see the Plate connector for barcodes and nutrition) and does not cover copyrighted cookbook recipes: its recipes are the community-contributed TheMealDB collection (a few hundred dishes, strongest in British, American, Italian, Asian and Middle Eastern food). The free database returns limited results for some ingredient and cuisine filters.
recipe_search — Find recipes by name, main ingredient, category or cuisine (TheMealDB). Name searches return full recipes; ingredient/category/cuisine searches return a list to pick from (use recipe for the full one). Use for "recipe for X", "vegetarian Indian dishes", "what can I make with salmon". Args: query, ingredient, category, cuisine, max_results.
recipe — A full recipe: ingredients with measures (optionally scaled), numbered steps, category, cuisine, tags, image, video and source link. Use for "give me the full recipe", "double it", "halve the ingredients". Args: recipe_id, name, scale.
what_can_i_cook — Recipes that use ALL of the ingredients given (up to four), falling back to any-of when nothing matches all, with a note saying which. Use for "what can I make with chicken and spinach", "dinner from eggs and potatoes". Args: ingredients, max_results.
meal_plan — A meal plan — one dinner per day — drawn from a cuisine and/or category, the same plan for the same week so it can be re-read, with recipe ids to expand. Use for "plan my dinners this week", "seven vegetarian meals", "a week of Mexican food". Args: cuisine, category, days, week_of.
random_recipe — A random full recipe, optionally from a category — for "surprise me", "what should I cook tonight". Args: category.
recipe_lists — The categories and cuisines the recipe database understands, for building searches and meal plans.
cocktail — Cocktails and mocktails (TheCocktailDB): by name with full ingredients, measures, glass, category, IBA status and method; by base ingredient or non-alcoholic as a list; or a random pick. Use for "how do I make a margarita", "gin cocktails", "a mocktail", "surprise me with a drink". Args: name, ingredient, non_alcoholic, random_pick, max_results.
substitute — What to use instead of an ingredient — ranked substitutes with ratios and caveats for ~100 staples: dairy, eggs, flours and leavening, sugars and syrups, oils, sauces, herbs and spices (Indian and East Asian included), proteins, produce and thickeners. Use for "I'm out of buttermilk", "egg-free binder", "vegan substitute for paneer". Args: ingredient.
ingredient — What an ingredient is: a description from TheMealDB's ingredient index, its type and a photo, plus recipes that use it. Use for "what is asafoetida", "what does tahini taste like". Args: name.

What Kitchen is. Kitchen is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for recipes, meal plans, cocktails, ingredient substitutions and ingredient facts. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the dish, ingredient, cuisine or category needed for the lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call (a dish name, ingredient names, a cuisine or category, a scaling factor), the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Lookups are forwarded, not stored. Dish and ingredient names are passed to TheMealDB or TheCocktailDB and the answer is returned to your assistant; substitutions are answered from a table bundled with the server and never leave it. We do not keep a record of what you cook, infer dietary or religious preferences, or build a profile. Nothing you send is stored, logged in request bodies or used to train anything. Successful upstream answers are cached in memory for up to 24 hours, keyed by the query, to reduce load on the sources.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, accounts or credentials for any service. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. TheMealDB and TheCocktailDB (public API). Each receives the query and our server's IP address, never yours. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Kitchen is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
