About

Layover Guide is a fully local, hand-curated general methodology for planning an airport layover. methodology_overview explains the core idea: ticketed layover time is not free time once immigration, security, terminal transfers and a boarding-cutoff buffer are subtracted. layover_time_budget computes actual free time from total layover minutes and which buffers apply. leave_airport_decision applies a rule-based framework (free time, ticket type, baggage, visa) to judge whether leaving the airport is generally favorable, risky, or not possible. buffer_time_recommendations gives general minimum-connection-time planning ranges. self_transfer_risk_note explains the real rebooking/baggage risk of a self-transfer versus a single-ticket connection. luggage_considerations covers checked-bag and carry-on planning. activities_by_duration gives general guidance for a free-time bracket (under 2h, 2-4h, 4-8h, 8h+). airport_program_lookup and program_list cover three real, verified major-airport transit-tour programs with eligibility and booking notes, verified via web search against each program's official page. layover_glossary defines terms like Minimum Connection Time, self-transfer, and airside/landside. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.

Sources: Methodology and general buffer-time ranges hand-curated from widely-published travel-planning practice and the Minimum Connection Time concept. The three airport transit-tour programs (Singapore Changi, Istanbul/Touristanbul, Incheon) were verified via web search against each program's own official page and current (2026) travel-guide coverage. Fully local; zero upstream calls.

What Layover Guide is for

"How much free time do I actually have on a 6-hour layover with immigration?", "should I leave the airport?", "what's the Changi free tour?" — a general methodology for planning a layover realistically, plus a handful of real, verified major-airport transit-tour programs, rather than a city-by-city attraction database that would go stale.

What it does

methodology_overview explains the core idea: your ticketed layover time is not your free time once immigration, security, terminal transfers, and a boarding-cutoff buffer are subtracted. layover_time_budget computes your actual free time from your total layover and which buffers apply. leave_airport_decision applies a rule-based framework — free time, ticket type, baggage, visa — to judge whether leaving is generally favorable, risky, or not possible. buffer_time_recommendations gives general minimum-connection-time planning ranges. self_transfer_risk_note explains the real rebooking/baggage risk of a self-transfer versus a single-ticket connection. luggage_considerations covers checked-bag and carry-on planning. activities_by_duration gives general guidance for a free-time bracket. airport_program_lookup and program_list cover a handful of real, verified programs: Singapore Changi's Free Singapore Tour, Turkish Airlines' Touristanbul in Istanbul, and Incheon's Free Transit Tour, each with eligibility and booking notes. layover_glossary defines terms like Minimum Connection Time, self-transfer, and airside/landside.

What it is not

Layover Guide is not a live flight-status, gate-distance, or immigration-wait-time service, and it doesn't attempt a city-by-city attraction database for every airport, which would go stale fast. The three airport programs it does cover are verified and dated, and airport programs and minimum connection times change — always confirm current details with your airline and the airport's official site before counting on a specific plan.

Layover Guide — Privacy Policy

Effective 26 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Layover Guide is. Layover Guide is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated, fully local layover-planning methodology and a small set of verified airport transit-program notes. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — layover minutes and which buffers apply, a stated free-time figure, ticket/baggage/visa flags for the decision framework, an airport name, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered or computed locally and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, your actual flight itinerary, or your passport/visa status, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — reference content is bundled with the server and calculators run locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Layover Guide is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Layover Guide — Terms of Service

Effective 26 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Layover Guide connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Layover Guide returns a hand-curated, fully local layover-planning methodology — free-time budgeting, a leave-the-airport decision framework, buffer-time guidance, and a handful of verified major-airport transit-tour program notes. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Not a live flight or immigration-wait service. Layover Guide does not know your actual flight status, gate location, real-time immigration or security wait times, or the current state of any airport program. Its calculators are planning estimates from general assumptions and the inputs you provide, not measurements of any real, current situation.
  3. Airport programs are dated and may change. The specific airport transit-tour programs described (their eligibility, hours, and booking process) reflect the verification date stated in the Service's own data and can change without notice — always confirm current details with the airline and the airport's official source before relying on a program.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: reference content is answered from bundled data and calculators run locally from the numbers you give; nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service — including a missed connection, a denied re-entry, or any decision to leave an airport during a layover. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
