SEC filings, fundamentals and macro — from the primary sources
Unify Dynamics LLC
Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
financialsfilingscompare_companiesinsider_activitysearch_filingslatest_filingstreasury_yieldsfx_convertLedger reads the primary sources for U.S. public companies and macro reference. From SEC EDGAR: find any of ~10,000 registrants by ticker, name or CIK; its filings with links and 8-K items decoded (earnings, executive change, cyber incident, restatement…); its financials from the XBRL data it filed — revenue, gross and operating income, net income, EPS, cash flow, capex, assets, liabilities, equity, cash, debt, R&D, dividends, buybacks — by quarter or year with year-over-year change, derived margins and free cash flow, and the XBRL tag behind every number; a side-by-side of several companies; insider (Form 4/3/144) and 5%-holder (13D/13G) activity; full-text search across every filing since 2001; and the live feed of what was just filed. From the Treasury: the daily yield curve with 2s10s inversion and the national debt to the penny. From the ECB via Frankfurter: exchange rates today, on any date, or over a range, and conversions. Keyless, read-only, nothing stored, not advice.
Sources: SEC EDGAR (submissions, XBRL company facts, full-text search, latest-filings feed), U.S. Treasury (par yield curve, Fiscal Data), Frankfurter/ECB reference rates

Ledger goes there directly. "What did Apple report last quarter" comes from the XBRL facts in Apple's own 10-Q, with the tag named so the number is traceable; "has NVIDIA filed anything" is the EDGAR submissions feed with 8-K items decoded; "who's buying at Tesla" is the Form 4 list; "which companies disclosed a cyber incident" is EDGAR full-text search. Macro reference comes from the Treasury (yield curve, debt) and the ECB (exchange rates).
Companies tag their numbers inconsistently and change tags over time (Apple's revenue moved from Revenues to
RevenueFromContractWithCustomerExcludingAssessedTax), so Ledger merges every candidate tag for a metric, keeps one value
per period with the most recently filed winning, and separates quarters (~90-day durations) from fiscal years. Q4 is not
filed as a quarter — Ledger derives it as the fiscal year minus the nine-month figure and marks it Q4 (derived).
Margins, free cash flow and net cash are computed from the filed lines. Foreign private issuers (20-F/40-F) and funds
often have no XBRL company facts; Ledger says so rather than guessing.
Ledger has no stock prices, no analyst estimates and no ratings; it is the filed record and public macro data, and it never gives buy/sell advice. Quote the filing link when a number matters.
company_lookup — Find a public company by ticker, name or CIK: name, tickers and exchanges, SIC industry, fiscal year end, state of incorporation, headquarters, website, former names and its EDGAR page — plus the other matches if the name is ambiguous. Use for "what's Nvidia's CIK", "which exchange is X on", "what industry code is Y". Args: query.
filings — A company's recent SEC filings with links: form, filed and period dates, and for 8-Ks the items decoded (earnings, executive change, cyber incident, restatement…). Use for "has X filed anything this week", "latest 10-K", "any 8-Ks about executive departures", "when is the proxy statement". Args: company, forms, since, limit.
financials — A company's financials as filed (XBRL): each metric by quarter or year with year-over-year change, plus derived margins (gross, operating, net), free cash flow and net cash/debt for the latest period, and the XBRL tag used for each line so the number is traceable. Use for "what did X report last quarter", "revenue growth over two years", "how much cash does Y have", "is Z profitable". Args: company, kind, periods, metrics.
compare_companies — Side by side on the latest fiscal year as filed: revenue and growth, net income and margin, operating cash flow, free cash flow, cash, long-term debt, R&D, buybacks — with who leads on each. Use for "compare Apple, Microsoft and Google", "who has the best margins", "which of these is buying back the most stock". Args: companies.
insider_activity — Insider and ownership filings for a company in a window: Form 4 (insider trades) count and list with links, Form 3 (new insiders), Form 144 (planned sales), and 13D/13G (5%+ holders) filings. Use for "who's been buying at X", "any insider selling recently", "did an activist file on Y". Args: company, days.
search_filings — Full-text search across every SEC filing since 2001: which companies said a phrase, in which form, when, with a link to the document. Use for "which companies disclosed a cyber incident this month", "who mentioned tariffs in their 10-K", "going-concern warnings this quarter". Args: query, forms, since, limit.
latest_filings — What was just filed with the SEC — the live feed of the latest filings, optionally for one form type: company, form, filed date and link. Use for "what 8-Ks came in today", "any new IPO filings (S-1)", "latest 13F filings". Args: form, limit.
treasury_yields — The U.S. Treasury par yield curve: the latest day's yields from 1 month to 30 years, the 2s10s and 3m10y spreads with an inversion flag, and the month's daily history. Use for "what's the 10-year at", "is the curve inverted", "how have rates moved this month". Args: month.
national_debt — The U.S. national debt to the penny: total, held by the public, intragovernmental, the change over the last 30 days and per day, and the average interest rate on the debt. Use for "how big is the national debt", "how fast is it growing".
fx_rates — Exchange rates from the ECB's daily reference rates (30+ currencies): today's or a past date's, and optionally the daily history of one pair with its high, low and change. Use for "what's the euro at", "dollar to rupee on 15 August", "how has the yen moved this year". Args: base, symbols, day, history_days.
fx_convert — Convert an amount between currencies at the ECB reference rate (today's or a past date's). Use for "how much is $2,500 in rupees", "what was 10,000 euros in dollars on 1 March". Args: amount, from_currency, to_currency, day.
ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.agent@connectorbay.com · connectorbay.com/ledger/support

What Ledger is. Ledger is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for SEC filings and fundamentals, insider activity, filing search, Treasury yields, the national debt and ECB exchange rates. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the specific request needed: a company name or ticker, a search phrase, a currency and amount.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, or credentials for any service. Request arguments (a company, a search phrase, a currency) are used to fetch the answer in memory and are not stored. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Nothing personal is needed. Ledger looks up public companies and public statistics; it never asks for brokerage credentials, holdings or account numbers.
Sub-processors. To answer requests we send only the company, search phrase, currency or date asked about (never anything about you) to SEC EDGAR (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission), U.S. Treasury / Fiscal Data and Frankfurter (ECB reference rates, hosted in the EU). Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Ledger is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
