About

LLCKit puts general US LLC/business-formation reference behind one connector, computed or looked up locally from a bundled, dated table. llc_formation_steps covers the general order of forming an LLC: naming, registered agent, Articles of Organization, EIN, operating agreement, bank account, tax/license registration, ongoing compliance. state_llc_filing_fees looks up an approximate, dated Articles-of-Organization filing fee and annual/biennial report fee for any of the 50 states plus DC, or the full table at once. entity_type_comparison lays out the real formation, liability, taxation, and formality tradeoffs between a sole proprietorship, an LLC, an S-corp (a tax election), and a C-corp. annual_compliance_checklist lists the recurring items an LLC generally has to keep up with, with an optional state-specific fee/frequency. registered_agent_requirements explains the near-universal registered-agent requirement and the self-serve-vs-commercial-service tradeoff. estimated_first_year_cost adds a state's filing fee, first report fee, and optional registered-agent/expedited costs into an approximate first-year total. llc_glossary defines common terms. General educational information, not legal, tax, or financial advice — every fee is dated and approximate; state rules change over time.

What LLCKit is for

"How do I actually form an LLC?", "what does it cost to file in Texas?", "LLC vs S-corp vs sole proprietorship?", "what do I have to do every year to keep it in good standing?" — the general US business-formation questions founders hit before (or instead of) calling a lawyer, answered locally from a dated, hand-curated reference table and plain arithmetic — no upstream calls, nothing stored.

What it does

llc_formation_steps lists the general steps to form a US LLC in typical order: choosing and clearing a name, appointing a registered agent, filing Articles of Organization, getting a free EIN from the IRS, adopting an operating agreement, opening a separate business bank account, registering for taxes/licenses, and understanding ongoing compliance. state_llc_filing_fees looks up a dated, approximate Articles-of- Organization filing fee and annual/biennial report fee for any of the 50 states plus DC, or the full table at once. entity_type_comparison lays out the real structural, tax, and liability tradeoffs between a sole proprietorship, an LLC, an S-corp (a tax election, not a separate entity type), and a C-corp — including the self-employment-tax mechanics that make S-corp elections attractive to profitable owner-operators, and the double-taxation mechanics of a C-corp. annual_compliance_checklist lists the recurring items an LLC generally has to keep up with (annual/biennial report, franchise tax, registered-agent upkeep, license renewals, foreign qualification), with an optional state-specific fee/frequency layered in. registered_agent_requirements explains the near-universal registered-agent requirement and the tradeoffs of being your own agent versus paying a commercial service. estimated_first_year_cost adds a state's filing fee, its first report fee, and optional registered-agent/expedited costs into an approximate first-year total. llc_glossary defines common terms like EIN, Articles of Organization, operating agreement, pass-through taxation, piercing the corporate veil, foreign qualification, franchise tax, and good standing.

What it is not

LLCKit is general educational information, not legal, tax, or financial advice, and not a substitute for a lawyer, accountant, or your state's own Secretary of State (or equivalent) office. Every fee here is dated and approximate — states change filing fees, report cycles, and franchise taxes without much notice, and some states also require newspaper publication or charge separate income-based franchise taxes not reflected in the base filing/report fee. Always confirm current figures directly with the state before filing or budgeting, and get professional advice before choosing a business structure or tax election.

LLCKit — Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What LLCKit is. LLCKit is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for general US LLC/business-formation reference information: formation steps, state filing-fee lookups, entity-type comparisons, compliance checklists, and cost estimates. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — typically just a state name/code, an entity type, or a small set of cost assumptions you choose to send — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Nothing you submit is stored or logged. Every tool reads a bundled, dated reference file or computes an answer from the numbers you provide, for that one request — no lookup history, business name, or state choice is written to a database, recorded, or used to train anything. Request bodies are not logged.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, any business identifying information beyond what you optionally include in a query, or any account information, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps, never the request content) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — there is no upstream call at all; every tool reads a reference file bundled with the server or computes locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived, content-free logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. LLCKit is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

LLCKit — Terms of Service

Effective 28 September 2026. These terms govern use of the LLCKit connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. LLCKit returns general US LLC/business-formation reference information — formation steps, a dated state filing-fee/annual-report table, an entity-type comparison, compliance checklists, registered-agent guidance, and estimated first-year cost calculations — computed or looked up from the information you provide in each request. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Not legal, tax, or financial advice. LLCKit's output is general educational information, not individualized legal, tax, or financial advice, and not a substitute for a lawyer, accountant, or your state's own Secretary of State (or equivalent) office. Consult a licensed professional before choosing a business structure, a tax election, or relying on any fee figure for a real filing or budget decision.
  3. Fees and requirements change. State filing fees, report cycles, and franchise taxes are set by each state and change over time; every figure in this Service is dated and approximate. We make no guarantee that a fee or requirement shown here matches the current requirement of any state at the time you read it.
  4. Estimates, not guarantees. Nothing in the Service guarantees the actual cost of forming or maintaining an LLC, or that following any checklist or step list will result in a properly formed or compliant entity.
  5. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  6. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  7. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered on our server and nothing is stored.
  8. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any legal, tax, or financial consequence arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  10. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
