What Manchete is for

The question that comes up whenever someone wants Brazilian news without opening ten different apps or sites — "o que está saindo hoje", "alguma notícia sobre a Selic", "quem mais está cobrindo isso" — answered from the outlets' own public feeds, in Portuguese, with a link back to read the full story at the source.

What it does

Manchete aggregates live, public RSS/Atom feeds from ten major Brazilian outlets — G1, Folha de S.Paulo, UOL, Agência Brasil (the federal public news agency), GE (Globo Esporte), CNN Brasil, Poder360, Metrópoles, Exame and Valor Econômico — across eight categories: geral, política, economia, mundo, tecnologia, esportes, entretenimento and ciência/saúde.

top_headlines merges and deduplicates recent headlines across every feed, or one category; headlines_by_outlet narrows to a single named outlet; economy_headlines and sports_headlines are shortcuts for those two categories. search_headlines finds cached recent headlines matching a keyword or phrase. story_cluster groups headlines from different outlets covering the same story by title similarity, so you can see who is reporting it and how widely. daily_briefing surfaces the most cross-outlet-covered stories of the last day. outlet_list and category_list describe exactly what is covered.

What it is not

Not a full-text news reader and not a paywall bypass. Every item is a headline plus the outlet's own short description — the same summary the outlet publishes for syndication — never the article body, and every item links back to the source so the user reads the complete story where the outlet published it. Manchete does not store what anyone searches for or reads.

top_headlines — Recent Brazilian headlines merged and deduplicated across every covered outlet, or filtered to one category (geral, politica, economia, mundo, tecnologia, esportes, entretenimento, ciencia-saude). Each item has the headline, a short summary, the outlet, publish time and a link. Use for "manchetes de hoje", "what's the news in Brazil", or a specific category ("notícias de economia"). Args: category, hours, limit.

daily_briefing — The most cross-outlet-covered stories of the last day, clustered: a quick snapshot of what matters most in Brazil right now. Use for "resumo do dia", "o que eu perdi", "principais notícias de hoje". Args: hours, limit.

By outlet / category

headlines_by_outlet — The latest headlines from one named Brazilian outlet, across every category we carry for it. Use when the user names a specific source ("o que saiu no G1", "últimas do Poder360"). Args: outlet, limit.

economy_headlines — Recent Brazilian business and economy headlines (Selic, inflação, câmbio, mercado, indústria) from G1 Economia, Folha Mercado, Agência Brasil Economia, Exame and Valor Econômico. Use for "notícias de economia", "o que saiu sobre o mercado". Args: hours, limit.

sports_headlines — Recent Brazilian sports headlines from GE (Globo Esporte), Folha Esporte and Agência Brasil Esportes. Use for "notícias de esporte", "o que saiu sobre futebol". Args: hours, limit.

Find

search_headlines — Search recent Brazilian headlines (cached from every covered feed) for a keyword or phrase, matched against the title and summary. Use for "alguma notícia sobre X", "o que saiu sobre Y". Args: query, hours, limit.

story_cluster — Find headlines about a story or topic across different outlets and group them by similarity, so you can see who is covering it and how many outlets agree. Use for "quem está cobrindo isso", "isso está em vários veículos?". Args: query, hours, limit.

outlet_list — The Brazilian outlets Manchete carries, with each feed's category/focus and feed id — use before headlines_by_outlet if unsure of a name.

category_list — The categories Manchete covers (geral, politica, economia, mundo, tecnologia, esportes, entretenimento, ciencia-saude), each with a short label and how many feeds carry it.

Conventions

• Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
• Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
• Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.

Manchete — Privacy Policy

Effective 24 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Manchete is. Manchete is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf to summarise Brazilian news: headlines merged and deduplicated across outlets, category digests, search, cross-outlet story clustering, and a daily briefing. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the specific request needed: a category, an outlet name, or a search phrase.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, or account credentials for any service. We do not build a profile of your interests: a search phrase or category is used for the single request that carries it and is not stored. Tool inputs and outputs are processed in memory and are not stored. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Each of these publishes a public RSS/Atom feed for exactly this kind of syndication; we download it, and nothing about you is sent to them. - Vercel — hosting infrastructure (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Manchete is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Manchete — Terms of Service

Effective 24 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Manchete connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

1. The Service. Manchete aggregates headlines, short summaries and links from Brazilian publishers' own public syndication feeds, merges and deduplicates them, and provides category digests, search and cross-outlet story clustering. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
2. Content belongs to the outlets. Headlines and summaries are the publishers' work, provided by them for syndication with a link back. Manchete returns them with attribution and a link; it does not return article bodies. Read the full story at the source, and respect each outlet's terms.
3. Not a substitute for reading. Summaries are short and clustering is automatic; how many outlets carry a story reflects how our monitored outlets covered it, not its truth or importance. Verify important claims at the source.
4. Acceptable use. Do not use the Service to republish outlets' content at scale, to overwhelm the underlying feeds, or to circumvent rate limits. Automated use within the published limits is welcome.
5. Availability. The Service depends on third-party feeds and is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time. When a source is unavailable the Service says so.
6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: nothing about you is stored.
7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.

When you report a problem, include the question you asked your agent, roughly when, and which agent you used (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini). Never send us passwords, account numbers or ID numbers. Manchete never asks for them.
