About

Minutestaker is a fully local meeting-minutes template generator and reference. generate_minutes builds a structured markdown document from a topic, attendees, absentees, decisions, discussion points and free-text action items, sized to the meeting type (general, standup, board meeting, project kickoff, retrospective, one-on-one) — action items are parsed automatically into owner and due date, with anything missing flagged. action_item_formatter does just that parsing on its own. decision_log_entry formats one decision with rationale, owner and date for a separate decision log. agenda_to_minutes_template turns a plain agenda into a ready-to-fill blank document. distribution_note drafts the short blurb for circulating minutes. next_steps_summary sorts action items by due date, flags overdue ones, and separates anything with no resolvable date. meeting_type_template explains section structure and cadence per meeting type. minutes_style_guide compares verbatim, summary and action-only styles. minutes_checklist lists what should and shouldn't be captured in minutes, with why. sensitive_content_flag scans drafted text for personnel/HR, legal, confidential-financial or security-sensitive keywords worth a second look before wide circulation — a prompt for human review, not automatic redaction. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.

Sources: Hand-curated from widely taught business-writing and project-management practice; parsing and sorting are computed locally from the caller's own input; fully local, zero upstream calls

Action items & decisions3 tools
  • Action item formatterParses free-text action items into {owner, task, due_date}, flagging any with no recognizable owner or due date so they don't silently fall…
  • Decision log entryFormats one decision with rationale, owner and date as a standalone entry for a running decision log kept separate from meeting minutes.
  • Next steps summarySorts action items by due date (soonest first), flags overdue ones, and separates anything whose due date couldn't be resolved to a calendar date.

What Minutestaker is for

"Write up minutes for today's meeting", "turn this into an action item with an owner and a date", "what should and shouldn't go in meeting minutes" — a fully local template generator that turns rough notes into a structured minutes document, and a reference for doing minutes well in the first place.

What it does

generate_minutes builds a structured markdown document from a topic, attendees, absentees, decisions, discussion points and free-text action items, sized to the meeting type — action items like "Priya: send the deck by Friday" are parsed automatically into an owner and a due date, and anything missing either is flagged rather than silently dropped. action_item_formatter does just that parsing step on its own. decision_log_entry formats one decision with rationale, owner and date for a running decision log kept apart from the minutes themselves. agenda_to_minutes_template turns a plain agenda into a ready-to-fill blank document for the meeting type you're about to run. distribution_note drafts the short blurb you'd send when circulating minutes. next_steps_summary sorts action items by due date, flags anything overdue relative to a given date, and keeps undated items in their own bucket rather than guessing.

meeting_type_template explains the expected section structure and cadence for a general/status meeting, standup, board meeting, project kickoff, retrospective, or one-on-one. minutes_style_guide compares verbatim, summary and action-only minutes styles with pros, cons and when to use each. minutes_checklist is a hand-curated list of what should and shouldn't be captured in minutes, with the reasoning for each — decisions and owned action items belong; a verbatim transcript, resolved disagreements attributed by name, and sensitive personnel/legal/financial specifics don't. sensitive_content_flag runs a keyword heuristic over drafted text for personnel/HR, legal, confidential-financial, or security-sensitive language that's usually better kept out of a broadly-circulated document, and asks a human to take a second look rather than redacting anything itself.

What is computed vs. hand-curated

Minutes generation, action-item parsing, decision-log formatting, agenda templating, distribution notes, and next-steps sorting are all computed directly from your own input — nothing here invents facts about your meeting. The meeting-type structures, the minutes-style comparison, the capture/don't-capture checklist, and the sensitive-content keyword categories are hand-curated from widely taught business-writing and project-management practice, not pulled from any one organization's official style guide.

What it is not

Not a legal-compliance or governance-record tool: board and other statutory minutes often have their own requirements (quorum recording, exact resolution wording, retention rules) that this Service doesn't know about — check your own bylaws or counsel for those. The sensitive-content scan is a keyword heuristic meant to prompt a human review before wide circulation; it will miss a paraphrased mention and can flag an innocuous use of a word, so treat it as one safeguard, not the only one.

What Minutestaker is. Minutestaker is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a fully local meeting-minutes template generator and reference — building structured minutes documents from a topic, attendees, decisions and free-text action items, parsing action items into owner/due-date, formatting decision-log entries, converting an agenda into a blank template, sorting next steps, and scanning drafted text for sensitive-content keywords. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the text or values needed for that one response.

What we receive. the arguments of each tool call — meeting details, attendee names, decisions, discussion notes, free-text action items, or drafted minutes text to scan, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered locally and nothing is stored. Every tool either formats the text you send it or reads a bundled, hand-curated reference file — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise; no request is forwarded to any third party, and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, or account credentials, and we do not build a profile from your queries — each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Because minutes and action items sometimes contain names and rough personal-sounding notes, we want to be explicit: we do not log, retain, or use meeting content you send us for anything beyond producing that one response.

Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed or answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Minutestaker is a general-audience template generator and reference operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Minutestaker — Terms of Service

Effective 25 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Minutestaker connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Minutestaker returns structured meeting-minutes documents, action-item parsing, decision-log formatting, agenda-to-template conversion, and hand-curated meeting-type/style reference, computed or answered locally. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Not professional advice. Minutestaker provides general information, templates and reference material — it is not legal, financial, tax, HR, or other professional advice, and using it does not create any professional relationship. Verify anything consequential against authoritative sources or a qualified professional before relying on it.
  3. Not a compliance or legal-record tool. For board/governance minutes with a statutory record requirement, or content raising real legal or HR exposure, check your own bylaws or counsel — this Service is a drafting aid, not a substitute for that review.
  4. The sensitive-content scan is a heuristic. sensitive_content_flag matches keywords to prompt a human review before wide circulation; it will miss paraphrased mentions and can flag an innocuous use of a word. Do not rely on it as your only safeguard before sending minutes broadly.
  5. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  6. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  7. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your input is answered on our server and nothing is stored.
  8. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  10. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
