Contribution limits: current employee deferral and catch-up limits for 401(k), 403(b), traditional IRA, Roth IRA, and HSA for 2025 and 2026, including the SECURE 2.0 'super catch-up' for ages 60-63 in effect since 2025, plus a dedicated eligibility check. Savings projections: a year-by-year compound-growth projection to a target retirement age with an optional annual contribution growth rate for raises, and the reverse calculation — the flat contribution needed to reach a target corpus. Social Security: full retirement age by birth year from the published SSA table, and an early/delayed claiming adjustment to a known Primary Insurance Amount using SSA's real reduction and delayed-credit percentages (it does not compute a PIA from an earnings history). RMDs: the current SECURE 2.0 start age and the real IRS Uniform Lifetime Table divisor. Roth vs. traditional: an illustrative ending-value comparison under tax rates you supply. Roth IRA income limits: a filing status and MAGI checked against the current-year phase-out range. A glossary covers RMD, catch-up, vesting, FRA, PIA, Roth conversion, the 4% rule, and more. Every figure is in a dated table you can print. General educational information, not financial, tax, or retirement advice.

Nest answers them with real arithmetic over published, dated IRS and SSA figures — no upstream calls, no accounts, nothing stored.
Contribution limits. Current IRS employee deferral and catch-up limits for 401(k), 403(b), traditional IRA, Roth IRA, and HSA for 2025 and 2026, including the SECURE 2.0 "super catch-up" for ages 60-63 (401(k)/403(b) only, in effect since 2025). A dedicated eligibility check tells whether a given age/account/year qualifies for the standard catch-up or the super catch-up.
Savings projections. A year-by-year compound-growth projection from a starting balance and annual contribution to a target retirement age, with an optional annual contribution growth rate for raises; and the reverse calculation — the flat annual contribution needed to reach a target corpus.
Social Security. Full retirement age (FRA) by birth year from the published SSA table (65-67), and an adjustment of a known Primary Insurance Amount (from your own SSA statement) for claiming early — using SSA's real 5/9%-per-month (first 36 months) then 5/12%-per-month reduction — or delayed up to age 70 at SSA's 8%/year delayed retirement credit. Nest does not compute a PIA from an earnings history; that requires SSA's own indexed record.
RMDs. Required Minimum Distributions using the current SECURE 2.0 start age (73 through 2032, rising to 75 in 2033) and the IRS Uniform Lifetime Table divisor for the account owner's age.
Roth vs. traditional. An illustrative ending-value comparison of Roth and traditional contributions of the same pre-tax dollars, under tax rates you supply for today and for retirement — real computed math, clearly not a substitute for individualized tax advice.
Roth IRA income limits. Checks a filing status and Modified Adjusted Gross Income against the current-year Roth IRA phase-out range: full contribution allowed, partially phased down, or not allowed.
Glossary. Plain-language definitions of common terms: RMD, catch-up contribution, super catch-up, vesting, FRA, PIA, Roth conversion, the 4% rule, sequence-of-returns risk, employer match, MAGI, the Uniform Lifetime Table, qualified Roth distributions, and the backdoor Roth.
Not personalized financial, tax, or retirement advice, and not a substitute for a financial advisor, tax professional, or the Social Security Administration. It does not know your actual earnings history, other income, state taxes, employer plan rules, or filing details beyond what you supply. Contribution limits and phase-out ranges are supported for 2025 and 2026 only — the tables need updating when the IRS or SSA publishes new figures for a later year. RMD and Roth-vs-traditional math uses the Uniform Lifetime Table (for an owner whose spouse, if any, is not more than 10 years younger and the sole beneficiary) and stated tax-rate assumptions respectively — real situations are often more complex.

contribution_limits — Current IRS employee contribution limit and catch-up limit for a 401(k), 403(b), traditional IRA, Roth IRA, or HSA in 2025 or 2026, including the SECURE 2.0 age 60-63 super catch-up for 401(k)/403(b). Use for "401k limit for 2026", "HSA family limit 2025". Args: year, account_type.
catch_up_contribution_check — Whether someone at a given age qualifies for the standard catch-up, or the SECURE 2.0 age 60-63 "super catch-up" (401(k)/403(b) only, since 2025), for a given account type and year. Use for "am I eligible for the super catch-up at 61 in a 401k in 2026". Args: age, account_type, year.
roth_ira_income_limit_check — Checks a filing status and MAGI against the current-year Roth IRA phase-out range: full, partial (phased), or not allowed for a direct contribution. Use for "can I contribute to a Roth IRA at $170,000 MAGI married filing jointly in 2026". Args: filing_status, magi, year.
retirement_savings_projection — Compound-growth projection of a retirement account to a target age, with a year-by-year schedule; the contribution may grow annually (e.g. with raises). Use for "what will $10,000 now plus $6,000/year at 7% become by 65, with 3% raises". Args: current_age, retirement_age, current_balance, annual_contribution, expected_return_pct, contribution_growth_pct.
required_sip_for_goal — Reverse calculator: the flat annual (and approximate monthly) contribution needed to reach a target retirement corpus by a given age. Use for "how much do I need to save each year to have $1.5 million by 67". Args: current_age, retirement_age, target_corpus, current_balance, expected_return_pct.
roth_vs_traditional — Illustrative ending after-tax value of Roth vs. traditional contributions of the same pre-tax dollars, under stated current/retirement tax-rate assumptions — real computed math, clearly not a full tax projection. Use for "Roth or traditional if I'm in the 22% bracket now and 12% in retirement". Args: current_tax_rate_pct, expected_retirement_tax_rate_pct, annual_contribution, years, expected_return_pct.
social_security_estimate — Adjusts a known Primary Insurance Amount for claiming early (as early as 62, using SSA's 5/9%-per-month then 5/12%-per-month reduction) or delayed (up to 70, at SSA's 8%/year delayed credit). Does NOT compute PIA from an earnings history — that requires SSA's own record. Use for "I claim at 62 with a $2,400 PIA, what's my check", "what if I wait until 70". Args: birth_year, claiming_age, estimated_pia_at_fra.
full_retirement_age — Looks up a birth year's Social Security full retirement age (65-67) from the published SSA table. Use for "what's my full retirement age if I was born in 1988". Args: birth_year.
rmd_calculator — Required Minimum Distribution using the current SECURE 2.0 start age (73 through 2032, 75 from 2033) and the IRS Uniform Lifetime Table divisor. Use for "RMD on $400,000 at age 75 in 2026". Args: account_balance, age, year.
retirement_glossary — Definitions of common US retirement-planning terms (RMD, catch-up contribution, vesting, FRA, PIA, Roth conversion, the 4% rule, ...). Use for "what does vesting mean", "what's the 4% rule". Args: term.

What Nest is. Nest is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for US retirement-planning calculations: contribution and catch-up limits, savings projections, Social Security claiming-age adjustments, RMDs, and a Roth-vs-traditional comparison. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the numbers needed for that one calculation.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — ages, birth years, account balances, contribution amounts, return-rate assumptions, a filing status, an income (MAGI) figure, and tax-rate assumptions — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. Every calculation uses bundled, dated IRS/SSA rate tables and standard published formulas computed from the numbers you provide; no request is forwarded to any third party, and no query — including any balance, income, or birth-year figure you enter — is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, Social Security number, my Social Security account credentials, plan account numbers, or any other identifying or account information, and we do not build a financial profile from your queries: each calculation is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Nest is a general-audience service for adults; we knowingly collect no personal data from anyone.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
