About

Outofoffice pairs original auto-reply message composition with real date math. generate_ooo takes a start/end date, reason_category (vacation, sick, conference, parental_leave, personal, business_trip, sabbatical, holiday), tone (formal, casual, friendly) and length (short, standard, detailed), plus an optional coverage contact, and returns an original message with the computed duration attached. list_reason_categories, list_tones and list_lengths enumerate the options. duration_summary computes calendar days, business days and weekend overlap between two dates. compute_return_date computes your last day out and return date after N business days, skipping weekends and any given holiday dates. auto_reply_variants gives two differently-phrased messages for the same trip. coverage_line generates just the contact-while-I'm-out sentence. checklist_before_activating is a pre-departure checklist. Keyless; fully local; nothing stored.

Sources: Original message compositions written for this connector; date math is exact calendar computation (weekends plus any holiday dates you supply); fully local, zero upstream calls

What Outofoffice is for

"Write a formal OOO for vacation next week", "when do I return if I'm out 5 business days starting Monday", "how many business days am I out from the 3rd to the 10th" — the message and the date math in one place.

What it does

generate_ooo takes a start and end date, a reason category (vacation, sick, conference, parental leave, personal, business trip, sabbatical, company holiday), a tone (formal, casual, friendly) and a length (short, standard, detailed), and returns an original auto-reply message along with the computed trip duration. list_reason_categories, list_tones and list_lengths enumerate the options. duration_summary computes calendar days, business days and weekend overlap between two dates. compute_return_date computes your last day out and return date after N business days, correctly skipping weekends and any holiday dates you list — real date arithmetic, not a guess. auto_reply_variants gives two differently-phrased messages for the same trip so you're not stuck with one option. coverage_line generates just the "contact X while I'm out" sentence, for dropping into a message you're writing yourself. checklist_before_activating is a pre-departure checklist covering the parts an auto-reply message alone doesn't handle — actually turning it on, updating chat status, confirming coverage.

What it is not

Every message is an original composition written for this connector, not a template scraped from a real inbox. Date math (calendar/business days, return dates, holiday skipping) is genuine computation you can verify yourself — weekends are always Saturday/Sunday, and only the holiday dates you explicitly list are skipped, since a global holiday calendar varies by country and employer.

Privacy policy

Outofoffice — Privacy Policy

Effective 25 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Outofoffice is. Outofoffice is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for out-of-office message generation: computed duration and business-day return-date math, plus original auto-reply compositions across reason categories, tones and lengths. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one request.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a date range, reason category, tone, length, or a coverage contact's name and contact details — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. Every tool is a local calculation or a lookup against a bundled, hand-curated reference; no request is forwarded to any third party. Text you submit is processed for that one response and is not logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, or account credentials, and we do not build a profile from your requests: each one is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed or looked up locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Outofoffice is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Outofoffice — Terms of Service

Effective 25 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Outofoffice connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Outofoffice provides out-of-office message generation: computed duration and business-day return-date math, plus original auto-reply compositions across reason categories, tones and lengths, computed or looked up entirely on our server. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. General information, not professional advice. Outofoffice's output is a drafting aid and reference tool. It is not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice, and nothing it generates should be treated as a final, authoritative, or verified document without your own review.
  3. Original output. Templates, messages, and reference content generated or bundled by the Service are original compositions or hand-curated summaries of publicly known conventions — not reproductions of any single copyrighted source. You are responsible for reviewing and adapting anything generated before you rely on or send it.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your input is answered on our server and nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
