generate_packing_listairline_baggage_rulescompare_baggage_allowanceliquids_rule_checkweight_estimatorclimate_pack_adjustmentsdocument_checklistpacking_cube_organizercarry_on_essentialspacking_glossaryPacklist is a fully local travel packing-list generator and airline baggage-rule reference. generate_packing_list builds a categorized list (clothing, toiletries, electronics, documents, health, plus activity-specific gear) for a trip type (business, leisure/beach, hiking/outdoor, winter-sports, backpacking, city-break, cruise), duration and climate, scaling clothing quantities sensibly by duration rather than one item per day. airline_baggage_rules gives hand-verified checked and carry-on allowances for 24 airlines across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, India and Brazil; compare_baggage_allowance puts two side by side. liquids_rule_check applies the common international 3-1-1-style carry-on liquids rule. weight_estimator sums packed-item weights and flags a likely overweight bag against a stated or looked-up airline limit. climate_pack_adjustments gives layering guidance for a climate and season. document_checklist lists commonly-needed travel documents generically, without hardcoding destination-specific visa rules. packing_cube_organizer groups items into cubes with a real load-balancing algorithm. carry_on_essentials lists what to keep with you in case checked luggage is lost. packing_glossary defines common packing terms. Keyless; fully local; baggage and document guidance verified as of build date, not a live lookup — always confirm with the airline or destination before you travel.
Sources: Hand-curated packing templates and climate/document guidance, plus an airline baggage dataset verified against each airline's official site as of build date; fully local, zero upstream calls at request time

generate_packing_list builds a categorized packing list (clothing, toiletries, electronics, documents, health,
plus activity-specific gear) for a trip type — business, leisure/beach, hiking/outdoor, winter-sports,
backpacking, city-break or cruise — a duration and a climate, scaling clothing quantities sensibly by duration
(capped, with a laundry-assumption note for longer trips) rather than literally packing one shirt per day.
airline_baggage_rules gives hand-verified checked and carry-on baggage allowances for 24 major airlines across
North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, India and Brazil; compare_baggage_allowance puts two side by side.
liquids_rule_check applies the common international 3-1-1-style carry-on liquids rule to one item.
weight_estimator sums a list of packed items' weights and flags whether the total is likely to exceed a stated
or looked-up airline's checked-bag limit. climate_pack_adjustments gives clothing-layer guidance for a climate
and season combination. document_checklist lists commonly-needed travel documents — passport, visa reminder,
travel insurance, vaccination card, driver's license/IDP, booking confirmations — generically, by trip type.
packing_cube_organizer groups a packed-item list into a chosen number of cubes using a real load-balancing
algorithm, so cubes come out evenly loaded. carry_on_essentials lists what to keep with you in case checked
luggage is lost or delayed. packing_glossary defines common packing terms.
Not a live baggage-fee calculator or a visa-eligibility checker. Airline baggage allowances change by fare class,
route, season and frequent-flyer status — every figure in airline_baggage_rules is the airline's standard
economy allowance as verified on the date the data was built, and may not match your specific fare. Country entry
requirements, visa rules and vaccination requirements are set by each destination, change without much notice, and
depend heavily on your nationality — document_checklist is deliberately general, not destination-specific, and
always points you back to the destination's official source. For anything time-sensitive, confirm directly with
the airline or the destination's official government/embassy site before you travel.
generate_packing_list — A categorized packing list (clothing, toiletries, electronics, documents, health, plus activity-specific gear) for a trip type, duration and climate. Clothing quantities are scaled sensibly by duration (capped, with a laundry-assumption note for longer trips) rather than one item per day. Use for "help me pack for a 10-day hiking trip in a cold climate". Args: trip_type, duration_days, climate, activities.
packing_cube_organizer — Groups a packed-item list into num_cubes packing cubes using an LPT load-balancing algorithm (items are size-scored by category and greedily assigned to the currently-lightest cube), so cubes come out evenly loaded rather than randomly split. Use for "organize my packing list into 3 cubes". Args: items, num_cubes.
carry_on_essentials — A 'just in case checked luggage is lost or delayed' carry-on essentials list: medication, a change of clothes, chargers, valuables and documents. Use for "what should I keep in my carry-on in case my bag is lost". Args: trip_duration_days.
airline_baggage_rules — Hand-verified checked and carry-on baggage size/weight allowances for one of 24 major airlines (North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, India, Brazil). Use for "what's the checked bag limit on United". Args: airline.
compare_baggage_allowance — Side-by-side checked and carry-on baggage allowances for two airlines. Use for "compare Ryanair and easyJet baggage rules". Args: airline_a, airline_b.
weight_estimator — Sums a list of packed items' estimated weights and, given an airline or an explicit limit, flags whether the total is likely to exceed the checked-bag weight limit. Use for "will my bag be overweight for Delta". Args: items, airline, checked_limit_kg.
liquids_rule_check — Checks one carry-on liquid/gel/aerosol item against the common international 3-1-1-style rule (each container ≤100ml/3.4oz, all containers fitting in one 1L/1-quart bag). Use for "can I bring a 150ml bottle of sunscreen in my carry-on". Args: item_name, volume_ml.
climate_pack_adjustments — Clothing-layer guidance for a climate and season combination (e.g. what to actually pack for a temperate destination in autumn). Use for "what should I pack for a cold climate in winter". Args: destination_climate, season.
document_checklist — A general checklist of documents commonly needed for a trip (passport, visa reminder, travel insurance, vaccination card, driver's license/IDP, booking confirmations) — generic guidance, not destination-specific visa or entry rules, which change too often and vary too much by nationality to hardcode safely. Use for "what documents do I need for an international business trip". Args: trip_type, international.
packing_glossary — Definitions of common packing terms (packing cube, compression bag, TSA lock, personal item vs carry-on, layering, the 3-1-1 liquids rule, capsule wardrobe, ...). Use for "what's a packing cube", "what does TSA lock mean". Args: term.

What Packlist is. Packlist is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a fully local travel packing-list generator and airline baggage-rule reference: packing lists, airline baggage allowances, a liquids-rule checker, a weight estimator, climate guidance, a document checklist, a packing-cube organizer, carry-on essentials and a glossary. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or computation.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a trip type, duration, climate, activity list, airline name, item names and weights, a liquid's volume, a climate/season pair, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from bundled, hand-curated reference data or computed in-process, and nothing is
stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise —
and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything. Packing-list contents, item names
and weights you send us for weight_estimator or packing_cube_organizer are used only to compute that one
response and are never retained.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire reference dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Packlist is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
