Not an official product of, or affiliated with, any brand, league, publisher, or organization it may factually mention. Pegsolitaire is a hand-curated reference and design tool, not a substitute for an official rulebook, certified instruction, or professional advice. Fully local, zero upstream calls, nothing stored.
board_info — Full detail for one peg solitaire board: hole count, shape, standard starting setup, legal jump directions, and symmetry. Use for "how many holes on the French board", "what's the starting setup for the English board", "does the triangular board have diagonal jumps". Args: name.
rule_lookup — Explains one peg solitaire rules topic (objective, board setup, legal jumps, capturing, chained jumps, no legal jump available, winning conditions, informal scoring, the reverse "building game", changing the starting vacancy, "problem" vs. just playing). Omit topic to list every topic with a one-line summary. Use for "can a peg jump diagonally", "what happens if I get stuck", "what's the reverse building game". Args: topic.
notation_reference — Explains the ways peg solitaire moves and solutions are written down: sequential hole numbering, chess-style coordinate notation, explicit from/over/to notation, move-list recording of a full solution (including how chained jumps are grouped), and before/after diagrams. Use for "how do you write down a peg solitaire move", "what does 'd2-d4' mean".
solvability_fact — Genuine, well-documented solvability math and theory: the three-coloring/parity-invariant argument that proves some peg solitaire positions are mathematically impossible (not just unsolved), the exact identity that clearing N pegs to one always takes exactly N-1 individual jumps, and board-specific results such as the classic 33-hole central game finishing back in the center, or the fact that the 15-hole triangular board is small enough to have been exhaustively checked by computer. Omit board (or pass "general") for board-independent theory only. Use for "can you actually prove a solitaire position is unsolvable", "what's the coloring argument", "has the triangle board been fully solved by computer". Args: board.
term_glossary — Definitions of common peg solitaire vocabulary -- peg, hole, jump, capture, vacancy, central game, problem, move vs. jump, chained jumps, coloring argument, invariant, clearance, stuck position, isolated peg, arm, symmetry, building game, and more. Use for "what does 'vacancy' mean", "what's the difference between a move and a jump". Args: term.
history_note — A dated rundown of peg solitaire's documented history, from its disputed early-legend origins through Ernest Bergholt's celebrated 1912 central-game solution, mid-20th-century mass-market plastic sets, the recreational-mathematics literature that rigorously analyzed the game, and today's computer-verified solutions. Use for "when was peg solitaire invented", "who solved the classic center challenge".
find_board_for_skill_level — Suggests a board, starting setup and goal fitted to a stated skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced, expert), with a short reason why it fits. Use for "what board should a beginner start on", "give me a harder solitaire challenge". Args: level.
beginner_tips — A ranked shortlist of practical tips for someone new to peg solitaire, from picking a first board through reading a stuck position. Use for "give me tips for playing peg solitaire", "how do I avoid getting stuck". Args: count.

What Pegsolitaire is. Pegsolitaire is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated peg solitaire reference — boards, rules, notation, and genuine solvability math. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Pegsolitaire is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
