About

Pointsvalue is a fully local, program-agnostic methodology for valuing loyalty and rewards points — it deliberately bundles no real named program's current point values or award charts, because those are set unilaterally and change constantly. Every tool works from numbers you supply about your own program. cents_per_point computes the standard cents-per-point (CPP) value of one redemption. compare_redemptions ranks several of your own redemption options to find the best value. cash_vs_points decides whether to pay cash or points for a specific purchase against your own baseline CPP. transfer_value computes the effective CPP on your original points after a transfer to a partner program at a given ratio and bonus. earn_rate_value turns an earn rate and assumed redemption value into an effective cash-back percentage. annual_fee_breakeven checks whether a program's fee pays for itself given the value you actually extract. devaluation_impact quantifies how many extra points a devaluation now costs you and the resulting value lost. points_needed_for_goal computes points required for a target redemption value at a chosen CPP. methodology_guide explains the framework, rough quality bands, and pitfalls like fees on 'free' awards, blackout dates, expiry and devaluations; glossary defines terms like transfer partner, elite status, award chart and breakage.

Sources: Fully local computation from numbers you supply, using the standard cents-per-point (CPP) valuation framework used by independent rewards/travel writers. No real loyalty or rewards program's current point values, transfer ratios or award charts are bundled — plug in your own program's current numbers each time. Zero upstream calls.

What Pointsvalue is for

"Is 25,000 points for a $400 flight a good deal?", "which redemption should I pick?", "is this transfer bonus worth it?", "does my card's annual fee pay for itself?" — a program-agnostic methodology for valuing loyalty and rewards points, built entirely from numbers you supply about your own program.

What it does

Every tool here uses the standard cents-per-point (CPP) framework — cash value of a redemption divided by points used — the same yardstick independent rewards and travel writers use to compare wildly different loyalty currencies on one scale. cents_per_point computes the CPP for one redemption with a rough quality band. compare_redemptions ranks 2-20 of your own redemption options to find the best value among them. cash_vs_points decides whether to pay cash or points for a specific purchase against your own baseline CPP for the program. transfer_value computes the effective CPP on your original points after transferring to a partner program at a stated ratio and bonus, so you can see whether the transfer itself is worth it. earn_rate_value turns an earn rate (points per dollar spent) plus your assumed redemption value into an effective cash-back percentage. annual_fee_breakeven checks whether a program's annual fee pays for itself given the value you actually extract in a year. devaluation_impact quantifies exactly how many extra points a devaluation now requires and the value lost, or the improvement from a positive change. points_needed_for_goal computes points required to reach a target redemption value at a chosen CPP. methodology_guide explains the framework, rough CPP quality bands, and the pitfalls that trip people up — fees and taxes on "free" awards, blackout dates, expiry, and devaluations. glossary defines terms like transfer partner, elite status, award chart, breakage and signup bonus.

What it is not

Not a database of any real named loyalty or rewards program's current point values, transfer ratios or award charts — those are set unilaterally by each program and change, sometimes overnight, so none are bundled here. Every calculation runs on the numbers you provide about your own program, which stay accurate regardless of what any program changes next.

Privacy policy

Pointsvalue — Privacy Policy

Effective 25 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Pointsvalue is. Pointsvalue is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a fully local, program-agnostic loyalty-points valuation methodology — cents-per-point calculations, redemption comparisons, transfer and earn-rate math, annual-fee breakeven, devaluation impact, a methodology guide and a glossary. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — dollar amounts, point counts, transfer ratios, a bonus percentage, or a glossary term you ask about — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs. We do not ask for or need to know which real loyalty program any of these numbers belong to.

Everything is computed locally and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything. The dollar amounts and point counts you supply are used only to compute that one response.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, or any account or program identifier, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — every calculation runs locally on the server. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Pointsvalue is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Pointsvalue — Terms of Service

Effective 25 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Pointsvalue connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Pointsvalue returns a fully local, program-agnostic loyalty/rewards-points valuation methodology using the cents-per-point (CPP) framework, computed entirely from numbers you supply. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Not a database of any real program's rates. Pointsvalue bundles no real named loyalty or rewards program's current point values, transfer ratios, award charts or fees. All figures used in a calculation come from you; accuracy of the result depends entirely on the accuracy of what you enter, and on your own program's current terms, which you should verify directly with that program.
  3. Not financial advice. Output is general valuation methodology and arithmetic, not financial, tax or investment advice, and not a guarantee that any specific redemption, transfer or card will be advantageous for you.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your numbers are used only to compute one response, and nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from a decision made using this Service's output, including a redemption, transfer, or card choice that turns out badly. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
