Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
resin_code_inforesin_code_listsymbol_infosymbol_listidentify_from_descriptioncurbside_checkcompostable_vs_recyclablemobius_vs_green_dotsearchglossaryRecyclecode is a fully local, hand-curated and web-verified packaging/recycling-symbol reference. resin_code_info gives one plastic resin code's (1-7) full detail: the actual material, common product examples, and whether it's commonly accepted curbside; resin_code_list shows all seven at a glance. symbol_info explains any other common packaging symbol — the Mobius loop/chasing-arrows triangle, the Green Dot, the compostable seedling logo, the Tidyman figure, the FSC logo, the European PAP paper code, and the European GL glass code; symbol_list names them all. identify_from_description matches a plain-language description of an item or a symbol to the closest resin code(s) or symbol(s). curbside_check states plainly whether a resin code, abbreviation, or material keyword is commonly recyclable curbside. compostable_vs_recyclable explains that specific, commonly confused distinction and the industrial-vs-home-compost difference. mobius_vs_green_dot directly contrasts the two most-confused symbols. search does free-text keyword search across everything, and glossary defines terms like wishcycling, MRF, contamination, downcycling and extended producer responsibility. Cross-checked against Wikipedia's resin-identification-code article, US EPA plastics guidance and the EU packaging materials-marking convention as of build date — always defer to your own municipal program's list for what it actually accepts. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.
Sources: Resin codes 1-7 cross-checked against Wikipedia's 'Resin identification code' article and US EPA plastics guidance; paper (PAP) and glass (GL) codes reflect the EU packaging materials-marking convention; Mobius loop, Green Dot, seedling/EN 13432, Tidyman and FSC descriptions cross-checked against multiple packaging-industry references. Hand-curated as of build date; fully local, zero upstream calls.

Not a substitute for your own municipal recycling program's accepted-materials list, which is always the final authority on what actually gets recycled where you live — codes and symbols describe a material or a general practice, not a promise about any specific curbside bin. Not affiliated with any standards body, municipality, or brand it may factually mention. Fully local, zero upstream calls, nothing stored.

What Recycle Code is. Recycle Code is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf to look up what a packaging or recycling symbol actually means — plastic resin codes 1-7, the Green Dot, the seedling logo and more. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Recycle Code is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
