About

Redemption is a fully local, hand-curated reference for redemption/ticket arcade games. game_info gives one game's full detail: category, how it mechanically works, a skill-vs-chance classification, its ticket payout mechanic, typical venues, and beginner tips. game_search searches by keyword across name, category, mechanism and tips; category_list shows all 7 categories with counts (Ball & Roll, Claw & Crane, Mechanical Strike, Push & Pusher, Wheel/Spin/Drop, Sports & Shooting, Video Redemption). claw_machine_facts gives factual, hedged notes on how claw/crane machines are mechanically tuned and treated under consumer-protection and amusement-device law in some jurisdictions — skill-vs-chance classification, prize value caps, grip-strength tuning, licensing — general background only, never legal or gambling advice. term_glossary defines redemption-arcade terms like prize counter, e-ticketing, route operator and pusher game. history_note covers classic redemption-arcade history: Skee-Ball's and claw-machine origins, Whac-A-Mole's 1976 invention, Chuck E. Cheese's (1977) and Dave & Buster's (1982) founding, and the shift to e-ticketing. ticket_economics_explainer conceptually explains redemption-game business economics — payout percentage, ticket-to-prize ratio, route-operator revenue splits, prize-wall tiering. find_game_for_venue_type suggests games for a stated venue type. beginner_tips gives a specific game's technique tips. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored; not gambling or wagering advice.

Sources: Hand-curated original content, verified against widely documented arcade-industry history and general regulatory patterns as of build date; fully local, zero upstream calls

What it is not

Not an official product of, or affiliated with, any brand, league, publisher, or organization it may factually mention. Redemption is a hand-curated reference and design tool, not a substitute for an official rulebook, certified instruction, or professional advice. Fully local, zero upstream calls, nothing stored.

Tools

Look Up a Game

game_info — Full detail for one redemption/ticket arcade game: category, how it mechanically works, a skill-vs- chance classification, how its ticket payout conceptually works, typical venues, and beginner tips. Use for "how does a claw machine work", "what is a coin pusher". Args: name.

game_search — Keyword search across every game's name, aliases, category, mechanism, ticket mechanic and tips. Use for "games with a mallet", "chance-based ticket games", "games that use a joystick". Args: query.

category_list — Every redemption-game category with how many games are in it (Ball & Roll, Claw & Crane, Mechanical Strike, Push & Pusher, Wheel/Spin/Drop, Sports & Shooting, Video Redemption). Use for "what categories of arcade games do you cover".

Claw-Machine Facts

claw_machine_facts — Factual, hedged notes on how claw/crane machines are mechanically tuned and how they're treated under consumer-protection and amusement-device law in some jurisdictions (skill-vs-chance classification, prize value caps, grip-strength tuning, licensing, international variation). General background only — never legal or gambling advice, and regulation genuinely varies by place and time. Use for "are claw machines rigged", "are claw machines legal", "how is a claw machine different from a gambling machine". Args: topic.

Reference

term_glossary — Definitions of common redemption-arcade terms — prize counter, e-ticketing, merchandiser, route operator, FEC, pusher game, roll-down game, skill crane, midway, grip strength, prize wall. Use for "what's an FEC", "what does 'merchandiser' mean in an arcade". Args: term.

history_note — Short, hedged historical notes on the redemption-arcade industry: claw-machine and Skee-Ball origins, Whac-A-Mole's invention, Chuck E. Cheese's and Dave & Buster's founding, the mall-arcade boom, the shift to e-ticketing, and the rise of video redemption games. Real venue/brand names are mentioned only as factual historical examples. Use for "when was Dave & Buster's founded", "history of Skee-Ball". Args: topic.

ticket_economics_explainer — Conceptually explains how redemption-game business economics work — payout percentage, ticket-to- prize ratio, score-to-ticket curves, e-ticketing systems, the route-operator revenue-split model, prize- wall tiering, and big-ticket-item marketing. Describes arcade-industry business concepts only — not gambling, betting, or odds-optimization advice. Use for "how do arcades decide how many tickets a prize costs", "what's a route operator". Args: topic.

Recommend & Play

find_game_for_venue_type — Suggests redemption games well-suited to a stated venue type, matched against each game's tagged typical venues (family entertainment center, pizza/restaurant arcade, bowling alley, adult eatertainment, carnival midway, movie theater lobby, waterpark, small footprint venue). Use for "what games work in a small footprint", "best games for a family entertainment center". Args: venue_type.

beginner_tips — A specific game's technique tips for actually playing it well. Use for "any tips for skee-ball", "how do I win more at the claw machine". Args: name.

Conventions

  • Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
  • Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
  • Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.

Privacy policy

Redemption — Privacy Policy

Effective 25 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Redemption is. Redemption is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated redemption/ticket arcade reference — how the games work, claw-machine facts, terms and history. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Redemption is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

It does not provide legal, financial, medical, or safety-certification advice, and is not a substitute for supervised instruction where real physical risk is involved.
  3. Content varies. Rules, terminology and conventions described here reflect commonly-cited general practice; local house rules, regional variants, and official governing-body rulebooks may differ.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered from a bundled reference file, and nothing is stored.
