About

Relo is a fully local home-moving and relocation planning toolkit. moving_checklist gives the full moving-timeline checklist (8 weeks out through moving day and after), or just one point in it. box_estimator estimates small/medium/large/wardrobe/dish-pack box counts by home size and packing density. truck_size_calculator recommends a rental-truck size category. packing_materials_list itemizes boxes, tape, bubble wrap, packing paper and furniture blankets. room_by_room_checklist gives packing tips and tasks for one room (kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, garage, living room, home office). moving_cost_estimator gives a rough order-of-magnitude cost range (never a quote) from distance, home size and move type. address_change_checklist lists who to notify when you move (US-general). utility_setup_checklist lists utilities to set up with timing advice, for an apartment or house. moving_day_timeline gives an hour-by-hour moving-day schedule template. moving_glossary defines common moving-industry terms. Keyless; fully local; every cost figure is a rough planning estimate, not a quote.

Sources: Hand-curated moving-planning checklists plus published moving-industry rule-of-thumb ratios for box counts, truck sizing and cost bands (industry moving-calculator and truck-size guides); fully local, zero upstream calls

What Relo is for

Every move surfaces the same scramble of questions — how many boxes do I actually need, what size truck should I rent, when should I start packing, who do I even need to tell about my new address — usually answered with a mix of guesswork and scattered blog posts. Relo puts a hand-curated, practical answer to all of it in one place.

What it does

A full moving-timeline checklist from 8 weeks out through moving day and the weeks after, or just the tasks for one point in the timeline (moving_checklist); a box-count estimate by home size and packing density, using published moving-industry rule-of-thumb ratios (box_estimator); a rental-truck size recommendation (truck_size_calculator); an itemized packing-materials list — boxes, tape, bubble wrap, packing paper, furniture blankets (packing_materials_list); room-specific packing tips and tasks for the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, garage, living room, and home office (room_by_room_checklist); a rough order-of-magnitude cost range for a move, from distance, home size, and move type (moving_cost_estimator); the standard checklist of who to notify when you move (address_change_checklist); a utility-setup checklist with timing guidance (utility_setup_checklist); an hour-by-hour moving-day schedule template (moving_day_timeline); and a glossary of moving-industry terms (moving_glossary).

What it is not

Not a quoting engine and not a mover. Every box, truck, and cost figure is a planning estimate built from widely published moving-industry rules of thumb, not a measurement of your specific belongings or a live price from any company. moving_cost_estimator in particular returns a wide, heavily caveated range — real quotes vary enormously by company, exact date, season, and access conditions, and nothing here is financial advice. Relo makes zero upstream calls and books nothing; it's a planning reference to bring into your own decisions, not a substitute for written quotes from an actual mover or rental company.

Tools

Timeline

moving_checklist — The full moving-timeline checklist — hand-curated, practical tasks from 8 weeks before the move through moving day and the weeks after — or just the tasks for one point in that timeline. Use for "what should I be doing 6 weeks before I move", "give me a full moving checklist". Args: weeks_before.

moving_day_timeline — An hour-by-hour suggested moving-day schedule template, for a DIY move or a full-service (hired movers) move. Use for "what does a typical moving day schedule look like". Args: move_type.

Calculators

box_estimator — Estimate the number of small/medium/large/wardrobe/dish-pack boxes needed for a home, using published moving-industry rule-of-thumb ratios scaled by packing density. A planning estimate, not a measurement of your actual belongings. Use for "how many boxes do I need for a 2 bedroom apartment". Args: home_size, packing_density.

truck_size_calculator — Recommend a rental-truck size category (roughly the 10/15/17/20/26 ft classes rental companies use) for a home size, using published truck-sizing guidance. Use for "what size moving truck do I need for a 3 bedroom house". Args: home_size, num_bedrooms.

packing_materials_list — An itemized packing-materials list for a home size: boxes by size and count, tape rolls, packing paper, bubble wrap, and furniture blankets. Use for "what packing supplies do I need for a 1 bedroom apartment". Args: home_size.

moving_cost_estimator — A rough ORDER-OF-MAGNITUDE cost range for a move — never a quote — using simple published rules of thumb (local moves priced hourly by crew size; long-distance priced by weight and distance). Real quotes vary enormously by company, season, and exact date. Not financial advice. Use for "roughly what would a 500 mile move cost for a 2 bedroom apartment". Args: distance_miles, home_size, move_type.

Checklists

room_by_room_checklist — Packing tips and a checklist specific to one room — real practical advice like packing plates vertically in dish-pack boxes, or using wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes. Use for "how do I pack my kitchen", "tips for packing the garage". Args: room.

address_change_checklist — The standard checklist of who to notify when you move — postal mail forwarding, banks, employer, DMV/vehicle registration, voter registration, insurance, subscriptions, doctors, and more. US-general; international movers should check local requirements. Use for "who do I need to notify when I move".

utility_setup_checklist — A checklist of utilities to set up at a new place — electric, gas, water, internet, trash — with typical timing advice (e.g. book internet install 1-2 weeks ahead). Use for "what utilities do I need to set up before moving into a house". Args: home_type.

Reference

moving_glossary — Definitions of common moving-industry terms — binding vs. non-binding estimate, bill of lading, full-value protection, long carry fee, shuttle service, and more. Use for "what's a binding estimate", "what does bill of lading mean". Args: term.

Conventions

  • Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
  • Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
  • Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.

Privacy policy

Relo — Privacy Policy

Effective 24 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Relo is. Relo is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for home-moving and relocation planning: checklists, box and truck-size calculators, packing-materials lists, a rough moving-cost estimator, and a moving glossary. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — things like a home size, a room name, a distance in miles, a move type, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs. We never receive your home address, your name, or any information that identifies you personally — Relo's tools don't ask for it.

Everything is answered from bundled reference data or computed on the fly, and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Cost estimates are not quotes. moving_cost_estimator returns a rough, order-of-magnitude planning range computed from published rule-of-thumb ratios — it is not a quote from any moving company, is not binding on anyone, and is not financial advice. We do not collect payment information, and Relo never books or contracts with a mover on your behalf.

Sub-processors. None — all reference data is bundled with the server and every calculation runs locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Relo is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Relo — Terms of Service

Effective 24 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Relo connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Relo returns home-moving and relocation planning information — checklists, box and truck-size calculators, packing-materials lists, room-by-room packing tips, a moving-cost estimator, and a moving glossary — built from hand-curated reference data and published moving-industry rules of thumb. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Informational only — not a quote, not a mover, not financial advice. Relo is an independent planning tool, not a moving company, broker, or booking service, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any moving company or rental provider. Every figure from moving_cost_estimator, box_estimator, truck_size_calculator, and packing_materials_list is a rough, order-of-magnitude planning estimate derived from general published guidance — never a binding quote, a measurement of your actual belongings, or financial advice. Actual costs and needs vary enormously by company, exact date, season, location, and how much you own. Always get a written quote from a real moving company or rental provider before budgeting or booking a move.
  3. Checklists are general guidance. The moving-timeline, room, address-change, and utility-setup checklists reflect general, US-focused moving-industry practice, not legal advice and not a substitute for your lease, mortgage, or local requirements. International movers should confirm requirements with their destination country's own authorities.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered from bundled reference data or a local calculation, and nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service, including any decision made based on a cost estimate or checklist it returns. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
